  1. They look like our Reinebold years where they are just throwing random QB's on the field hoping someone does something positive. If they are truly in a nosedive I'd gladly trade them a pick for Micah Johnson.
  2. Bidet sprays it through. 11-8 Argos.
  3. Stay somewhere in Niagara-on-the-Lake. City of Niagara Falls is a dump.
  4. Interesting to think about. Wonder if they would have jived. Dunigan is like Collaros a lot to me where he scrambled around and needed guys who could win physically. Stegall was more of a guy who got to space. Only receiver I can think of that Dunigan really jived with who wasn't like 6'3 plus and 210 plus was DK Smith and even he was a taller guy. Loved David Williams, and here Wilcox, Alphin. Stegall would have been like a Brian Kelly type for Dunigan.
  5. As an aside, Hamilton geographically might be the worst place to live in Canada. It's either 40 degrees humid or 20 and raining all summer. Escarpment and lake are beautiful but the weather they bring is awful.
  6. Ambles and Jorden might have more drops than the rest of CFL receivers combined.
  7. TSN needs a few towels for their camera lenses.
  8. Everything about it said achilles rupture. Foot just kind of there, didn't seem like he had any control of it. Couture was doing the calf squeeze test. Non-contact.
  9. Don't like Hamilton's gameplan for Newman at all. Only accurate at all when he's on the move, don't ask him to sit in the pocket and pass. Hamilton's D returning INT's like their chance to win this game depends on it. MBT really taking ghost fakes to the next level!
  10. Newman might have an arm, but everything he throws with feet set is going nose into turf. Looks good on the roll.
  11. What's with the 'Calgary' receivers and having garbage hands on the swing/screen passes? Ambles included.
  12. God even in Mullinder's day if he was lined up in 3 technique and the play was 40 yards across the field and some OL just peeled back and earholed him that would be a flag. These hits have been illegal for a very long time, like over 20 years. The Dyson iso cam was over 20 years ago.
  13. Think he comes set after the hand movement. Bryant though is a full kick step early.
  14. Yeah if that hit happens at the 3 minute mark of the 2nd quarter it's 100% a flag. They didn't want to make that call in the last 3 minutes of the 4th quarter is the true explanation.
  15. Hopefully sticks around but the draw of playing closer to home might be hard to compete with.
  16. Not a penalty. We're in silent count, they are allowed to use hand signals. If anything Bryant moved before the ball.
  17. My players say it's from Trippie Redd, rapper. Not overly happy with my kids doing it because pretty sure it's a reference to snorting something and wiping up.
  18. Look up "unnecessary roughness" in the rule book. Intent is also part of the rule on misconduct penalties now. Really the only contact allowed is to with the intent of blocking someone who is live in the play or tackling a ball carrier. Pretty clear when Marino makes the choice to contact Collaros that he's both out of the play and should not have reasonably anticipated contact since he doesn't have the ball and is in no way executing a fake. They certainly got it wrong, and didn't want to make a call to seal a win for a team in a rivalry game. Section U under the UR section: Unnecessary physical contact, including but not limited to, running into, diving into, cut blocking or throwing the body on a player who is: out of the play, or should not have reasonably anticipated such contact by an opponent, before or after the ball is dead, or throwing a ball carrier to the ground after the ball is dead,
  19. I think you do it in the boardroom on the Zoom call or whatever. Just say we aren't fielding a team if that guy is on anyone's roster. We're trying to build a league and you're allowing a marginal player to go around taking out the highest paid players in the league that we can't easily replace. As a league lets pull out head out of our asses and if one team wants to go rogue and try to do the bad boy ****, let them deal with the fallout. There's a base level of respect necessary to play in this league and Marino is constantly displaying that he doesn't have it. Players in this league are doing it to make a living. They have families, they have kids, they have a future beyond football. We're going to get jacked up about some moron putting a star QB in a wheelchair so his shitty team might win a couple games? Guys like Duke need to go too. You flag them, fine them, suspend them for racial slurs, spitting and it happens again. Time for the league to follow through. It's beyond ridiculous.
  20. Disagree on intent. Fake to Demski, pitch to Oliviera. Collaros is not at all a running QB. In two full seasons plus playoff runs I cannot recall a single run play we've called for him that's a designed run. Even on scrambles can only think of less than a handful of plays where he's taken a ball across the line of scrimmage. Marino clearly locates the ball and squares up on a guy who doesn't have the ball. There's no point to that hit but to try to "hurt" (if you're being generous) someone but more precisely injure someone. Even if you think Collaros is going to boot right, there's no wrap, it's a straight pop blindside rising through to helmet-to-helmet. Keep in mind two of next three games are also Bombers vs Riders. Have to wonder deep down what seeds have been planted from organization through coaching staff into a guy like Marino's head about the next month.
  21. Mullinder better mind his P's and Q's on Twitter or he might lose his federally funded fluff job with the Red Cross.
  22. Honestly don't see any of our guys making a hit like that on a QB who handed ball off very clearly and isn't even trying to fake a boot or anything. There's only one player in the league making that hit. Even Lawrence's big hits are on guys with ball or QB who just released ball on a scramble. And that's just it. You can see Marino locate the ball and then make the choice to hit the QB who clearly does not have the ball. There's no defense of "oh I thought it was a read option." Collaros doesn't run with the ball. The fake to Demski is the option. Did he chase down Demski? No. He locates the ball and drills the QB who's barely even moving, more or less stationary at the point.
  23. I mean they can only practice in pads 12 times per season. They have cracked down pretty hard on "tourist" hits not even that far away from the ball. Think in this era they need to call that kind of stuff...otherwise we're all gonna have Jamie Newman's starting.
  24. The call was fine. Fajardo just didn't have the stones to stand in there vs the rush to deliver the ball even when he knows it's coming. He panics and throws late. Fajardo never even looks downfield, he's got Evans wide-open on a dig on the play side as Bighill reacts to Hickson. Aren't going to win **** with such shitty quarterbacking. Would be more like 1:25-1:30 since Bombers had a timeout. Think Riders were right to go for TD there. Too much time left. FG only puts them up by 1, it was 20-18.
