  1. Sure .. more passes were called .. 6 pass attempts though either because protection collapsed, receivers not being open or our QB getting happy feet. Whatever. The point is: no QB is going to be successful in this offense. Hogan isn’t good by any measure.
  2. Sometimes teams just need to win ugly so they can learn to win consistently. We are a vastly different team in terms of leadership and presence and these guys are growing with the ugliness. A lot of these guys haven’t “been there” before and have to learn how to play through adversity. I’m not happy that Walters and O’Shea let this season happen (especially in a Grey Cup year) but it is what it is at this point.
  3. All three hit receivers in the hands. First Wheatfall pass hit him in the chest. Wilson, low but still very catchable. Wheat made the catch on the third. Another well placed ball but got blown up.
  4. If a QB executes the offense as called and the offense is **** .. who’s fault is that?
  5. So if an OC only calls 6 passes and receivers drop 3 very well thrown balls .. that’s the QB? Again, not giving our QB an out.
  6. And I’m not saying Lawson is any screaming hell either.
  7. Is that Bridges in Lawson’s uni? I mean that was terrible ball awareness.
  8. With 2 drops. 3 if you count the play where Wheat got laid out.
  9. Those two receivers shouldn’t be that close to one another. I don’t know if Wilson took his route too deep or didn’t bend it in where he should have but it allowed his DB to come off him and lay Wheatfall out. Or its just a shitty route concept.
  10. I don’t have a lot of love for Allen but twice now, right place right time and he’s made the play that was there for the taking.
  11. Hogan can’t scheme a receiver open to save his life. DLinemen don’t have to get upfield. They can wait and key on Strev as he tries to run.
  12. I couldn’t care less with how he presents himself: just call a good ******* game.
  13. Let’s see if Hogan and the offense can do anything at all in the third.
  14. At least he’s a guy who makes the odd play. Earlier in the year we didn’t even have that.
  15. He’s been let down in a couple of games this year with receivers half assing it at times (LaPo alluded to it earlier). Chris doesn’t help himself out though. He doesn’t process things as quickly as Zach (or even Brown) or throw with anticipation (he has to see things unfold before letting it rip). The pass to Wilson is a perfect example of that. If he gets to his drop and turns it loose, it’s an easier completion. Instead he holds it for an extra beat.
  16. Two bad drops by Winnipeg receivers so far: Wheatfall in the first and Wilson there.
  17. Cam Allen is ******* terrible.
  18. Say all you want about the deteriorating talent on the team but Hogan is completely in over his head as an offensive coordinator.
  19. To be fair, it's only a handful of people who don't know how to "change the channel". I get being frustrated. I get being disappointed. I get wanting change. Posting the same stuff in every thread, ad nauseum, gets REALLY REALLY old. If can take anything positive away from that it's that apathy hasn't set in and these fans are still passionate enough about the Bombers to express themselves.
  20. Everything about this season screams Winnipeg (looking for a bargain). I’m glad I’ll be in Minnesota watching the Bears and Vikings instead of Grey Cup.
  21. Just a a question (and I’m not giving Strev a pass) but do you think an offense, that has Dinwiddie’s fingers all over it, would look anything remotely like what we’ve seen this season?
  22. Colour me not thrilled to see Wallace drawing in next to Kolankowski. He has tools but at this stage of their respective careers, Vanterpool is the better player.
  23. That's just not true. He's got a better completion percentage than Vernon Adams, a hair behind Bo Levi Mitchell .. he's in the middle of the road (league wide) in terms of accuracy.
