  1. But, that’s a play that Zach makes that Strev doesn’t. Strev needs to SEE that develop. Zach trust that it will (rightly or wrongly).
  2. Wallace oozes potential and Neuf is showing more and more he needs to be put to pasture. Doesn’t help Kolo anchors the bunch.
  3. The interior of our offensive line is a ******* mess.
  4. Surprised Hogan didn’t ask Zach to throw it there. Nice plunge Stev.
  5. I’ll take a shanked punt and a break going our way.
  6. Terrible throw by Zach. This has been a trend with him all season. Hanging receivers out to dry.
  7. This might get spicy as the game goes on. Sookram’s dropped some Double Desert Island and I am indulging.
  8. The easier throw would have been to Demski in the middle of the field but can’t split hairs when we move the chains.
  9. Him, Bridges and a myriad number of other guys on this roster are guys you should be looking to push and move on from if possible. Their upside is capped. Their limitations are known. These are guys that "we're comfortable with" and we've kept them for no other reason but that. Lofton was terrible in Saskatchewan and he wasn't much better here. Randolph taking over for him was addition by subtraction
  10. You mean aside from him being terrible?
  11. Bridges has been released from the practice roster. Not shocked by that at all.
  12. It’s actually one of the first times (that I can recall) that a coach on this team has publicly thrown a player under the bus.
  13. Tait was definitely playing defense during a few segments.
  14. Look, I don’t care about Mitchell one way or another but when your starting receivers (even with injuries) are: Demski, Clecius, Wheatfall, Sterns and Corcoran you’ve screwed up in how you’ve managed that position group. Demski, by default, is your number one guy and as versatile as he is, he’s not THAT guy. Excellent secondary receiver who can be exciting at times but that’s it and with nobody on the field capable of stepping up and forcing defenses to respect them, they take him away for the most part. Sure, he’ll bust the odd run or find a seam (and hopefully) the QB will take advantage of it but teams will gladly give up that if it means they can take away take away our bread and butter (Brady).
  15. One reason why they brought him onto the roster in favour of Mitchell was because “he did the dirty stuff” and blocks on run plays. My immediate reaction watching that and a number of other plays unfold was: Would help if he did that **** well.
  16. And has nowhere to go when he does touch the ball. Tough sledding behind that line.
  17. Playing complimentary ball tonight but the offense is still a hot mess.
  18. A couple pre-game thoughts: This is the 4th (or 5th) different line combination this year .. how well are these guys going to play as a unit and how is Lofton going to hold up on Streveler’s blind side. If we have any chance of gutting out a win, this group has to stand up - it’s that simple. We (rightfully) got a bit of pressure against a beat up Toronto offensive line last week but gave up too many plays on the back end. Every one of those guys in the secondary need to be better. Bridges, Parker and Bonds have not been good all season. Bridges is out and Parker slides down next to Holm (who he’s played beside before). Is this the change we need or is this just shuffling the chairs on the deck of the titanic? I don’t think Kramdi has the range to be an effective safety and I think we can do better than Parker (and Bonds, who played really well at times last year) but will hold off forming an opinion until I see them play. And .. for the love of God .. go out and smack Toronto in the mouth and DON’T LET UP.
  19. Had some Echo Bike intervals on deck in the garage this morning and while I didn’t notice a smell heading out there, I’m certainly feeling it now - it’s not pleasant. Hopefully things improve significantly because I couldn’t imagine playing in that right now.
  20. That’s great and all but your roster, its makeup and how they’re deployed on game day go a long way to making that happen. Next man up is a great idea until that next man is nothing more than a career pylon.
  21. The problem is that there isn’t a single receiver on the field that forces a defense be honest and our offense, in general, does a terrible job of creating space for these receivers to operate. Couple that with another change on the offensive line and Lofton being terrible in general (he struggled as a right tackle last year, there’s no indication he’ll excel as a blind side blocker) I’m not expecting a lot from our offense. There is NOTHING on that side of the ball that forces a team to respect what we might plan to do. We saw what that looked like against Calgary.
