  1. disagree. To quote Doug Brown on the post game show, “the o line was atrocious today.” He went on to mention how the Stamps frequently got pressure rushing 3 or even 2. Heck when Collaros was pissed off on that last drive it appeared to be because he had no chance to get the ball off. You can have a favorite player but praising Eli is a stretch on a night the oline was terrible. Great gutsy win overall by the bombers. And well called game by Condell. The O put up 400 yards of offence. Surprised some here are still criticizing him for this game.
  2. Yes Clercius! Nield=Kito Poblah
  3. I too would like to see more of Smith .. he’s actually made plays on both ST, and D, if u count pre season. I have never noticed Shay making a play in any game, season or pre season, D or ST. Wouldn’t be surprised if he gets cut.
  4. It surprises me actually that RBs are undervalued compared to receivers, who get far fewer touches in a game. i don’t like that the BB are paying such a premium for Brady over all other RBs but I’m more comfortable giving 300 k to a guy who can run block and pass at a high level than to a receiver.
  5. I watched the presser. My takeaways were different from some of what I read on the board. Walters all but admitted it’s time for a rebuild and set the bar high for this year by saying it can be done quickly. No pay cut for Zach, but that’s partly due to how bad the supports were around him, he said. That suggests there will be hard conversations about the OC, receivers and Oline. He even admitted the Bombers squeaked out some wins despite playing bad football. Only quality wins were over B.C. and Hamilton. That suggests he has his eyes open. The entire organization under achieved this year, except for maybe Vaval and Carol in the ticket office.. It sounds like this season stung the people in charge and course correction is ahead. We will see.
  6. This forum continues to be obsessively negative. Even when some new recruits look good, it means O’Shea is bad. As if the forum recruited the impressive players and not Walters /O’Shea. Win or lose, same old thing. Not sure what some posters get out of this.
  7. #11 for the Warrior
  8. I don’t think anyone still thinks is he’s a starter. He’s shown that on rare occasions he can play a good game. But most times he’s a crap passer and broken down runner. And sometimes he is spectacularly bad.
  9. I know it’s fun to blame the OC (see Pierce, Buck; Lapolice, Paul) but what OC in the league would have done better with Strev at QB (arguably not even a good third string, short yardage guy) mediocre receivers and average OL? it’s a lot of chicken s-t that Walter’s and Osh have handed Hogan. He may also be bad — but I didn’t think we know definitively yet.
  10. Think this applies to the whole team. I’m surprised they kept it close as long as they did against a Rider team that is far more talented. the heart of the problem right now.
  11. He blew it. Getting beat or gaffe, pick your language.
  12. Vaval continues to look better than expected at corner. on the other hand, the big gaffes today have been by newish players Wallace and Allen.
  13. Was he not three yards offside on that touchdown?
  14. Schoen was invisible this year even before his injury.
  15. Clutch drive with key guys injured. Whipping boys Hogan, Collaros deserve some credit.
  16. Lapo has been great in the booth today. Actually dissecting what each team is doing. By far TSN’s best
  17. Just me or is 27 getting beat like a rented mule tonight?
  18. Indeed .. Bonds’ play has sure dropped off. Opportunity for someone to take that spot and never give it back. Bonds out for season per Schnitzer
  19. I’m confused as to why Kelly was on the field so much. Was he the dime? Was this always the plan or what the bombers had to do when Bonds went down and Vaval went in for him?
  20. This argument is flawed in so many ways. CFL teams are constantly cycling through other team’s cuts, at least the intriguing ones, because they are all familiar with largely the same pool of players. The ones who are cut and never heard from again? Usually there’s a reason. This take is a way to avoid ever saying you were wrong in getting excited about a camp cut. Hamilton is winning because of former Bombers? Other than Lawler, what difference maker have they brought in? Their D stinks and I don’t think Johnny Augustine and Drew Wolitarsky (who hasn’t started) make opposition coaches shudder.
  21. This argument would hold more water if the training camp darlings who were cut went on to great things. O’Shea wears a couple of Grey Cup losses for sure for playing badly injured guys. I didn’t see roster or in game decisions today that justify “worst coaching in the league hyperbole.”
  22. As much as it’s easy to say “bad coaching cost us the game” and the usual “Jake Thomas and too many linebackers on The roster is why we lost,” the fact is this team isn’t very talented. Receivers are below average, Collaros, Bryant and Streveler aren’t what they used to be. Dline doesn’t scare anyone, and we lost our starting corners. This season looks more on Walters than O’Shea at this point.
  23. Alternative take: down 2 on the road against a good team doesn’t mean sky is falling.
