  1. Not really? Come on man. Just got my copy in the mail today. Pretty cool.
  2. Refs trying to even things up. Two of the weakest calls you’ll ever see.
  3. That pretty much describes every QB1 - QB2 situation.
  4. For sure. And I’m not saying play aggressive and force the play at all times, but in the situation I was referencing, and one that led to the first goal, the Jets had numbers in their favour. Both obvious times to attack, but instead we chose to retreat and allow time and space. Good teams don’t do this.
  5. The Jets should’ve won that game. They played better and dominated for stretches. The 2nd goal was a bit of a back breaker. We had multiple good scoring chances and had the Predators hemmed in their zone. Once again we gave up our blue line and it killed us. The Preds player was slowing up before our zone and instead of forcing him, we backed off and allowed him to enter uncontested. One pass and it’s in the net. You just can’t retreat in those situations. It has cost us so many times this season.
  6. Sweet snipe by JMo. Nice feed too.
  7. One Predator gains the zone on the PP against 4 Jets. A few seconds later, it’s in our net. The ease with which we give up our zone, drives me absolutely nuts. It’s inexcusable and so completely avoidable.
  8. And that they make zero changes to the lineup. Frustrating.
  9. The Jets must be the most passive checking team in the league. No aggression and way too much space given all over the ice.
  10. Nice call by the refs to open the game. Unbelievably bad. And of course…. They immediately score.
  11. Yeah, I know they’re limited in what they can do for call ups, but I was hoping to see some shuffling at least. Give Barron some 2C reps, give Rosen a chance to play with some speed on his line instead of slow and old. All the things we’ve mentioned in our posts before…. Just mix it up a bit and see if you can find something interesting.
  12. No changes to the lineup is a bit frustrating.
  13. Jansen Harkins is in the Ducks lineup. Didn’t know he was still around.
  14. Maybe Stanley and his agent made it clear they weren’t going to resign? Pretty sure there was talk about him requesting at trade a while back. But regardless, he’s gone. He was having a good season, and his confidence has clearly grown, but there were still many defensive gaffes, so who knows where his development might go…. I personally think he’s likely pretty damn close to his ceiling.
  15. Who’s this Amy More you want them to sign?
  16. I can’t understand why we would play the worst line to start the 2nd.
  17. Pretty classic game for the Jets this season… and why they’re on the outside looking in. But without 2 of their top D men, it certainly wasn’t a bad showing against a good team. I was at the game and it was pretty hilarious how ignorant that fan base is. Not shocking, but still…. I’ve never heard so many ‘refs you suck’ chants. After some really obvious calls/non calls. They really have no idea what the rules are. And the constant ‘USA’ chants were pretty damn annoying too.
  18. Was just about to post this. Totally agree. I don’t ever want to see him take a defensive snap.
  19. I was only able to watch bits of the Canada game today, but apparently Morrissey got hurt. Don’t know the severity, but sounds like it was a knee.
  20. That’s what I thought too, but the replays they showed were pretty poor, so it was hard to tell anything. He was definitely pissed off.
  21. That was a very good team against a very sloppy team. It was easy to see the difference. One of the biggest examples was time and space. Tampa gave us none and we gave them pretty much all they wanted. How they defend their zone is such a huge contrast to how we defend ours. Tampa stands up at the blue line, and the Jets retreat and allow easy entry. And compare the 6 on 5 Tampa had on the delayed penalty, to the 6 on 5 the Jets had with the empty net…. Night and day. Tampa was all over us, not giving us a chance to set up. The Jets? Shrink around the net and allow uncontested passes that eventually reach the slot for a goal, before the penalty can even be assessed. The talent level, and X’s and O’s, are one thing, but the lack of urgency and aggression is also really deflating.
  22. My contribution in that regard could pay for the stadium to be domed.
