Big no on Kent Austin from me, last success he had in the league was nearly 20 years ago. Hamilton was **** when he was there, plus he comes across as kind of a jackass. Never been a fan. I’m not completely against bringing in someone with HC experience If MOS leaves but I’d rather they bring in someone who’s had their finger on the pulse of the league sometime recently, and preferably not old enough to collect CPP.

That would be ideal (if he actually leaves) With our luck it would probably be Brady, Holm and Younger

50/50 if MOS stays or goes. Either way, I think Costanza in any capacity (preferably OC) would be a great hire. He’s had nothing but success wherever he’s been. Jackson HC, Costanza OC could be interesting. I would assume MOS would take Younger with him if he goes to TO.

I thought maybe if they could back into a home playoff game they might be able to ride some momentum. When they lost to Edmonton I resigned myself to the fact that they just weren’t good enough this year.

Anyone else kind of bummed out today? First west final without the Bombers since 2017. Feels weird.

That’s just it. When the team was at its best, they had 2 very good co-ordinators and no less than 3 all star/HOF level players on each side of the ball, all around their prime. (Biggie, WJ, BA, Jeffcoat on D. Andrew, Yoshi, Bryant, Lawler on O) The team was primarily built through FA, with a lot of Ringmaiden-era holdovers making up the bulk of rest of the roster. MOS has a lot of faults right now but really, unless the personnel department hits a bunch of home runs, it’s going to be a couple rough years no matter who’s coaching. This is key as well, they screwed around soo much last offseason.

There’s no Tyrone Jones (or anyone) to make a play to get us back in games with this team though. Honest question, have they come back from a deficit at all this year?

I’ll always love MOS and Walters for what they’ve done in the past but yeah the run is over and done. Sadly, it is time to clean house.

Corcoran is useless. A poor man’s Adam Eckert isn’t going to do anything for the offence. They could have dressed Echols. May as well just have Tui out there and run double tight every play.

Agreed. Whenever they’ve thrown out the “take what the defence gives us” line this year it’s been after they looked like crap. If all the defence is giving you is 2 yard outs to Sterns, you’ve got to just put the ball in the hands of your best player.

Just speculating, but I think Andrew Harris and Hardrick had as much or more to do with building the “culture” here as anyone. The team lost a lot of the edge they played with after those guys left. Not the sole reason it declined by any means but their mentality was a huge part of driving the dominance of 2021. Combine that with the natural decline in play/loss of Biggie, WJ and other guys with big leadership qualities aging or moving on. Not really replacing/bringing in those type of magnetic personalities through FA or scouting and you’re left with the serviceable but unspectacular types that dominate the roster now.

I’m pretty sure Eugene Lewis was one. I know they were going after him.

Don’t like that neither of the new DL are on the roster. I know last week was meaningless but it was still the most consistent pressure on a QB we’ve seen all year. Even just Jenkins to rotate in for Willie would have made a huge difference. I don’t see the offence suddenly turning it on with the same weak WR corps either. Like most on here, my expectations are pretty low for tomorrow.

This has got to be the least excited I’ve ever been for a Bomber playoff game. There’s just no fire in the team this year, I don’t know how else to describe it.
