On the subject of a 50/50 receiver, I really think Jahmal Banks could be that guy for us. Obviously a lot remains to be seen, but he looks like an under-the-radar stud signing. Big tall dude who can go up and get it. Really looking forward to seeing what he can do.

I wouldn’t be opposed to 4 American OL. They just couldn’t really go with 8 Canadians again then right? Starting 7 would be 1 OL, Olivera, 3 WR, Lawson, Kramdi, unless I’m forgetting someone.

Westerman was huge for us. He doesn’t get enough credit for his role in turning the club around.

Not to jump into negativity but I feel like with all the guys we’ve extended that we’re going to miss out on the big FA targets. We’ll probably end up with a guy like Bane Jr.

Gotta agree with most, seems like one too many old vets brought back. Doesn’t feel like they’re going to have a lot left to go hard in FA now.

As a backup he’s fine. Better to have a guy with some speed at least instead of the Corcoran’s and Jeremy MurphY’s of the world.

Actually yeah, I was thinking of Wheatfall. Point remains on Demski though, and our backup Canadian receivers currently being quite sub-par.

If starting 8 Canadians elsewhere then yeah that would be an ok scenario. I just don’t want to see them have to trot out jobbers like Corcoran or Cobb to be every down starters, and as much as I like Demski and Clercius the chance of both of them playing 18 games is slim.

An upgrade in the sense that a kick in the ass is better than a kick in the junk. Not super excited, but obviously anything is better than what we had this past year.

Artopoeus? I’d still like to see them bring in an experienced 4th (5th if Elgersma makes his way here) QB for competition. UFL MVP or not, I don’t like the idea of half a year before the season starts, handing the backup job to a QB who’s never played a down of CFL football.

They want the extra draft pick so they can squander it on another jobber.

I was pretty young but iirc it was more of a Dru Brown situation where Danny Mac wanted to start and left in FA.

Dolegala not getting a chance in that game perplexed me the most. Absolutely would have been better than handless Zach. Sure, he’s not the greatest but he’s capable of winning games. Hell, he had a win against us the year before in the LDC did he not?

Besides Shoen and to a lesser extent Pokey, the track record of scouting American receivers by this regime is by far the worst in the league. It really needs to improve this year.

Kenny would help no doubt, but they really need to bring in someone who can light it up through scouting. Gotta have at least a couple of high level players on rookie contracts.

Damn, the Riders winning it in our stadium is a low point of my Bomber fandom. Especially after the way the last 3 went, and how the offseason was handled coming into this year. Got a big “it’s ok, we already got your money” vibe from the club this season.

Yeah, really the kick in the ass should have been after last year. The 24-25 offseason was the worst of this era. They’d better get busy quick now, can’t afford to fumble **** around until February again.

Willie is one of my all time favourite Bombers, and even I can see that he needs to be more of a complimentary piece at this stage of his career. I’d like to see him stay on in that role but we need to have new guys as the primary DE’s.
