  1. North Korea says it is considering bombing Guam with missiles. The Chinese need to take the nutty little midget dictator with the bad hair out. (The North Korean one, not Trump).
  2. Ed loved playing in Winnipeg. One of the good guys. Hope he kicks cancer's ass!! My thoughts & prayers are with him & his family.
  3. Ever see the video where Jim Rome kept calling former Rams qb Jim Everett, Chrissy? And he came on Rome's tv talk show to kick his ass? Hillarious as he did just that. Of course, Rome is all of 175 lbs soaking wet.
  4. Let's hope Wolitarski can show us he's the second coming of Joe Pop. No, just kidding. I wouldn't want to put that kind of pressure on him. Would like to see him get onto the roster & contribute on ST's this season.
  5. Still early in his career. Holding out just makes this situation worse in Rider fans eyes.
  6. Whatever. It's always tragic when anyone loses a life, especially someone who is 25. But why does Richards have to bear that cross? Totally unfair to even bring this into the conversation. My friend died in a car crash when she was 19. I still get sad thinking about her lost potential & the fact she would never get to experience her wedding day, having children & getting old with her hubby. My parents & sister have all passed away. Should I bring them into this conversation & say Hey Addison, you have no idea what life is about? I'm glad he hasn't experienced the pain of a loss like those because it's terrible. Then again, maybe he has. Your example is totally inappropriate & taking this to the nth degree.
  7. Ah, don't worry about it. You defended him a lot when guys like me criticized him. You're a passionate fan.
  8. Mack wouldn't listen to him from what I understand. Must've been frustrating working under a guy like that.
  9. You just don't get it. Comparing losing football to someone dying from cancer? C'mon man.... The kid is 23. He's not 60. Like I said don't be a .... .
  10. I will. PM me with your name & cell #. We usually come in Sat afternoon driving from Calgary & leave Sun morning. Would you like to go to a game???
  11. The guy is 23. Just because you never played at the CFL level & had to make that choice like that. He's young & football is all he knows. Don't be such a ****.
  12. It isn't funny. It is hard to walk away from a game you played at least for half of your life if not more. My son suffered a torn hamstring while doing off season conditioning going into his senior season at SFU in May of 2015. Torn Hammys are a bugger of an injury & take forever to heal. When fall camp opened in August of 2015 he didn't take part in a lot of the drills & scrimmages as he just couldn't. It cost him the starting qb spot & his senior season turned into a miserable experience. He really couldn't play effectively until October & even then his mobility wasn't what it used to be. he liked to tuck the ball & run for positive yards or move around & evade the rush but he turned into a sitting duck at times so his playing time was limited. He was hoping to get a chance to play qb or receiver in the CFL but was never drafted. He did attend the Edmonton CFL combine & threw the ball well & had a 34 inch vertical. But his shuttle speeds were average & he ran a disappointing 5.2 forty when he used to be a consistent 4.6 or 4.7. He had a free agent workout with the BC Lions in may of 2016 a full year after the hamstring injury but ran a 5.0 forty. He said he could have run faster but he felt a twinge in the hamstring & was worried he's blow it out again so he coasted during the timing. He was never offered a training camp contract so he never played again. Injuries made the decision for him but it was still hard as he played football since he was 8 years old. It was his life. However, he was lucky as he got an offer to join the Westshore Rebels of the BCFC in the CJFL coaching qbs last year. He was lucky & is now the QB Coach & Passing Coord with the Okanagan Sun & loving it. He's still a part of the game & is now totally happy with coaching & not playing. But when a player has to leave because of personal or injury issues at a young age, it's tough.
  13. Not really as we didn't learn from Jade Etienne. Richards should have been released this past off season. He could have made a deal with another CFL club instead of sticking around here for a year too long. Then he'd have been another team's problem. The Bombers didn't so it's on Walters & O' Shea for not doing anything. As far as Mike's comments on twitter goes, he is right. Certainly he isn't wrong. When Richards was collecting a paycheque he was willing to stick around. When he was demoted to the PR with the pay cut that goes with it, suddenly it's time to retire. Mike wasn't wrong in what he tweeted & Richards should have realized that is how fans would see it. Like I said, considering our draft record, I'm willing to cut everyone associated with Richards a break as they're right a lot more than they're wrong.
  14. Considering Kyle Walters draft record, it far outweighs the negatives that's for sure. I won't be one of the posters "losing my mind" as Noeller was suggesting would happen here. Not every selection will work out. Richards didn't & today he retires. Such is pro football. Kyle has done well restocking the cupboard compared to the way things were when he first was named Interim GM in 2013. My only advice to Kyle? Stay away from receivers who play college in the province of Saskatchewan.
  15. Like life, the interview just like the Combine is part of the process to get a job. If a player doesn't do well in the interview because of shyness or nervousness, he may not get the job as happens in the working world. Durant didn't do well in the interviews which we all know. Maybe teams put too much stock in them when they really should concentrate on the measurables & performance on the field instead.
  16. And you know, how????? Just speculating like you always do about Hellebuyck being our future goalie too? You don't know squat about Durant.
  17. I don't know what kind of problems you refer to as I had said earlier on prior threads regarding Lemar Durant that Durant he had no personal issues & was a great team guy at SFU. My son was a qb at SFU & he threw a few TD passes his way when they played together. The man is shy & introverted. A bit of a loner. He kept to himself & is quiet. He worked hard in practice everyday as well as games & was a beast in the weight room during & between seasons. He did everything the coaches at SFU asked him to do. Some of the questions asked in these interviews are designed to throw off the players. Like Jim Barker accusing a player that if the Argos drafted him he'd go back to his hometown CFL team after his first contract, so why should they draft him? Like what is a player supposed to say to that??? "NO!!! PLEEEEEAAASSSSEEEE!!!" Apparently, Durant didn't handle the interview phase well, but don't label him a guy who had problems when he didn't. Look at the player he's turning into now.
  18. Thanks for that, Mr Dee.
  19. Anything with The Miz now I just change the channel. Miz this & Miz that. Now, it's the Miztourage trying to revive the careers of 2 loser wrestlers in Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel in a storyline ? They should have been fired 2 years ago. Like I'm out for 10 minutes until the segment is over. However, Raw is better than it has been.
  20. Coaches need more money & benefits from pension to health & dental coverage. They get nothing like that at all. Some would stay if they had them. Not all but some. The good ones, anyway.
  21. Same to me. The Cats worked hard to build a very good team & now it's just a shell barely 2 years later. We all know who the GM was in Edmonton who traded away Ricky Ray for virtually a bag of footballs
  22. Hank opened his big mouth & went after the guys in the studio for really no reason. Never thinking what he said could come back to haunt him later. He felt disrespected. Poor guy.
  23. Climie loves the RedBlacks & it shows with his commentary as they can do no wrong in his eyes. He must be dying watching that team find ways to choke so far this season. I find it funny that after trashing the TSN panel last season during a game that Hank is now doing a halftime feature on offensive systems with TSN. Also interesting that he never appears live or talks to the panel in the studio like Paul LaPolice did.
  24. That's not what I said... You know that. Everyone else knows that. And I'll keep watching, thanks. But I appreciate your concern.
  25. They really need to get rid of Jock Climie. A part timer who doesn't contribute much. With the clothes he wears or commentary.
