Yes, for the short term if Nichols was out with injury Glenn would be able to play at a high level until Matt came back. Too bad LeFevour can't throw. But I'd give up LeFevour no matter how good he ran short yardage to have a veteran #2 qb who would play well backing up Nichols. Then, as you say, use the #3 position to develop a legit future starter. We need to shake up both backup qb positions as we got very little out of them when Matt was hurt. Davis couldn't even keep his backup spot (which says a lot about Davis after 3 years here in Wpg) & LeFevour won the game in Calgary when the Stamps were struggling with Buckley.
