  1. Carmella is eye candy only. She is an awful wrestler.
  2. I agree with Goalie. Unless you're a hardcore wrestling fan, people don't know who Omega is.
  3. It's embarrassing to watch... Was the wrestler who did the same schtick before Jose called Adam Rose? He was THAT forgettable.
  4. PWT described that match as a "disaster".
  5. You called it? Man, that is indeed impressive. You do have your fingers on the pulse of the industry. Why aren't you working in Stamford, CT? No sense talking to you about it now as you called it but nobody else did. I don't get ppl who like to brag they're smarter than everybody else. Have a good night.
  6. Yeah, that's a huge disappointment for fans. I'm sure a lot of the WWE Universe feel cheated. And the actual match went for 5 minutes.
  7. She didn't look weak technically in the ring although she needs to get a lot more experience to be polished. To me, I think that they needed her to beat out Steph a lot easier than that. Stephanie is a rat. Not the greatest in the ring & virtually hated by all fans. People want to see her get her come uppance. The way it should have gone down was Hunter & Angle go at it for the majority of the match. Then Ronda comes in, dominates by giving her a beat down & defeats Stephanie in a couple of minutes. That's how I thought it should have ended. Did you see the reaction to the Bludgeon Brothers winning the Tag Team Championship? Like NO reaction. That is one tag team that no one wants to see.
  8. They made Ronda look weak tonight. Barely beating Stephanie McMahon?? Not the greatest of debuts. Unless she really improves, I can't see her being able to do what Charlotte or Asuka can do in the ring. I expected her to wipe the mat with Stephanie. Didn't happen.
  9. When they wouldn't recognize valid CFL contracts they lost me.
  10. Sure was.
  11. So, a couple of days ago I was going thru my twitter feed & it showed two pics of Shawn Michaels. One with long hair & the mullet he had at the back along with his receeding hair line. Another with a picture of him after getting the back cut off. One person tweeted: "The boyhood dream is over". I tweeted that Brett Hart should do the same thing. I follow Asuka on twitter & she agreed. Yesterday I got a private message from Asuka asking how I was & we had about a 20 minute chat. Yes, it was her actual twitter account. Told her I think she's great in the ring & was looking forward to her match with Charlotte which she thanked me. Anyway, thought that was both interesting & cool how she reached out so I'll be cheering for her tonight.
  12. You must be shaken to your very core knowing what would have happened had your son accepted the invite & made the Broncos, wow. Life seems to work in mysterious ways sometimes. My son travelled to his football games by bus as well. First as a member of the Winnipeg Rifles & the long, long bus rides to Calgary, Edmonton, Regina & Saskatoon. The AB trips took 18 hours one way! When he played Junior College in Northern California, he took the bus to his games over some very bad narrow, single lane highways thru the Sierra Nevada mountains with lots of blind curves & drop offs just off the shoulder. I drove down for one away game & followed the bus & it sure was eye opening. When he went to SFU, he'd bus to Western Oregon, Central Washington & Humboldt State in Arcadia, CA. For Arcadia, they'd leave Thursday morning for their Saturday game. For Azusa Pacific, they'd fly to LA & then have a 2 hour ride on the freeway to Azusa, CA. When they played Dixie State in St. George, Utah, they'd fly to Vegas & then have a 3-4 hour bus ride to that game. Through all that, it never occurred to me anything could happen. Parents, players & coaches, we all felt everyone was safe which is why this tragedy has really hit hard for me.
  13. To think at one time there were people worried the AFL would steal our star players. A few years ago the AFL didn't recognize that a Standard CFL contract was legal until they lost in court. They deserve whatever bad happens to them.
  14. Yet, I read they just signed a new 4 year CBA with the players DOUBLING salaries & increasing benefits. Like WTH? How can a league that is equivalent to the Walking Dead sign something like that & the Players Association not think it's a scam as the AFL won't be around to negotiate another one?
  15. I think that the business model is wrong. Played in cities that were too big as teams got lost due to lack of coverage or no one cares. Having to compete with the NHL, NBA, MLB & NFL. The rent for games played in 15-20,000 arenas is expensive. No national & local TV & radio deals as well as lack of sponsors both local markets & national. Relying on ticket sales mostly. Brand is broken with so many teams folding... Other arena leagues doing better playing in smaller cities with smaller buildings. Lots of reasons why the AFL is struggling.
  16. Yawn, okay.
  17. I thought it was lame, sorry.
  18. I was talking to Mike. Not you. Besides, I wasn't arguing either. How can I be arguing when I've made maybe a half dozen posts the past 2 weeks? I barely come here anymore. Is it May yet?
  19. I saw him at Yuk Yuk's in 1988. There was a heckler in the crowd. I don't know if it was staged or not but he lost it. Started yelling, screaming & swearing at the guy. He didn't put the guy down or mock the heckler as you would have expected. He just went nuts.
  20. James 'Quick' Parker has died at age 60. Played for Edmonton, BC & Toronto from 1980-1991. Maybe the best defensive lineman who ever played. He was as fast as a rocket off the line on the snap of the ball giving opposing OL fits. The CFL started keeping sack records because of him. He was a four time winner of the Grey Cup. A CFL All Star multiple times. Defensive Player of the Year in the CFL in 1982. Grey Cup Defensive Player Of The Game in 82. Won the West Division's Dr. Beattie Martin Trophy as well in 1982. He was a great player & from everything I've read & heard, he was a nice guy off the field.
  21. That's not the point. The point is can a guy 215 lbs play MLB for 18 regular season games without wearing down as opposed to a guy 225-230? This isn't about guessing a guy's weight within 5 lbs. Anyway, who's arguing? It's the off season... Nothing else to do.
  22. Maybe not 5 but 10-15 lbs is a big difference.
  23. MLBers in the CFL are 220-230. Not 215 lbs. They don't play an 18 game season in the SEC. Not even close. As far as a MLB goes whether it's the SEC or CFL they still deal with 300 lb plus OL. He'll get ground down as the season goes on especially late in the year in October if he keeps his weight at 215. Weight, speed & strength are issues whether people want to admit it or not. He may look great in his college video then turn out to be too small to play linebacker & too slow for safety up here. Rather than pencil him in at MLB let's just see what he does at training camp & during exhibition season first.
  24. What you say makes more sense....
