  1. That rouge thing, kicking the ball in & out 3 times back & forth on that last play wide FG. I remember the crowd noise. It was the weirdest sound I ever heard. Ooohs & ahhs for about 10 seconds as the ball went in & out of the end zone. All 20,000 of us dying at the same time. Then Bombers called for No Yards, moving the ball 15 yards closer for a chip shot from the 20 yard line. Riders kick the winning points & run off the field screaming & laughing while we sat stunned. **** THAT!
  2. Like I said, this is to good to be true. Ask yourself.... a closed practice yet the Regina media's there reporting everything like it's totally open. Don't you find that strange? If MOS closed practice would he allow the media in Winnipeg to watch, tweet & take videos of his supposed injured qb throwing? Yet there they were, reporters tweeting first that Fajardo hasn't thrown the first 30 mins of practice. Oh, he's throwing now... 5 yards.... Now he's playing catch with his receivers & he's waving them back to 15 yards while excited Bomber fans are giving us their medical prognosis here that he's finished... Like ****... The Riders & their lapdog media in Regina. If it's a closed practice then why are the media allowwd to see it in the first place & using their phones to show Fajardo throwing?? They are drawing us & the Bombers in. Fake news, people. He'll play ay 100% on Sunday running & throwing like there's nothing wrong & we'll all go WTH? If Fajardo is fine on Sunday & the Riders were trying to set us up then there should be fines, suspensions & firings by the league for a serious lack of integrity by the Riders. Like **** that. I don't trust those Rider bastards. Team or media.
  3. Talking about health & injuries.
  4. Teams do check. It depends upon who it is.
  5. I remember him. He felt Goltz was a superstar.
  6. Well, look who is playing for us now.
  7. I'll take a qb who values ball security over a guy who is a gunslinger everyday of the week & twice on Sunday. Do I like LaPo's offense? Not a chance but to me, Nichols could play in & do quite well in another OC's system.
  8. "Way to safe" means Nichols avoids turn overs. How long would he play if he forced the ball & had 25 interceptions every season? Fans would be screaming for the Bombers to get rid of him. Ball security is a big part of today's game. Bigger than it was a generation ago.
  9. He was revered in Winnipeg. So, in 86 we had Clements, Hufnagel, former Seattle great Jim Zorn & a young Tom Muecke on our practice roster. Talk about a stacked line up at qb.
  10. Then maybe but now? Do they really want all that sh.... er… baggage to come along with him?
  11. I seem to remember a guy doing training camp reports & people mocking him.
  12. Whatever happened to Grumpy Old Man?
  13. Exactly right. It was Shivers who turned that fanbase into the pricks they still are today.
  14. That was Dave Ritchie's fault. He could have nipped that in the bud but chose not to.
  15. You got got it, Park Pontiac! Exactly how I feel. There's my 84 Winnipeg reference.
  16. Earlier, on another thread we discussed fan reactions & I posted a video of a Vikings fans smashing a table. I said I used to be that fan & I never wanted to go to that place again. Well, that was the game. My mother invited me over to watch the game with her & my dad & have supper later. I said s ure so I came over. Well, it was a close game. Things went back & forth, very tense. With only a couple of minutes left we intercept Moon & it looked like the game was over. Then for some inexplicable reason the ref throws a flag & calls John Helton for RTP. moon had rolled tohis right to avoid the rush with Helton in hot pursuit. Near the sidelines Moon threw & the ball was picked off. Helton pushed his arm & Moon stumbled & fell. But it was one of these one, two, three, four & fell down out of bounds. He PUSHED him!!! And the ref threw the flag. I lost it. Started cursing & swearing. Then the esks run a few plays & Dave Cutler kicked a FG to win. The officials cost us the game & our entire season!! The thought of that tipped me over emotionally!! I started cursing & swearing, ranting & raving. I remember I threw something across the room but it didn't break. My parents got pissed off. I argued & had a shouting match with them. This went on for about 10 minutes. Anyway, I embarrassed myself & after stewing for about an hour I sheepishly apologized. I vowed I'd never do that again & so far I haven't. Thirty one years of marriage & I haven't lost it like that since. Gopd things as parents will always forgive but a wife may not. Lesson learned.
  17. Worst Loss: 1972 Western Final. Nothing comes close for me. The 2001 Grey Cup loss was bad but I was angry at the Bombers for that loss as they acted like entitled brats all week at the Grey Cup expecting the Stamps to not even show up. Worst week of preparation by a head coach & his staff. They had lost that game by Thursday. Best Win: 1984 Grey Cup win. The others that came after were also great but that 84 win was special. Now, if we win this year, I may have to update that only because the drought has been longer.
  18. I'm thinking this is to good to be true if you are a Blue Bomber & we're all being set up.
  19. I don't believe you just asked that question. Holy …..
  20. I'm sure the first thing they all do is come here to start their day. I also don't think they give a rat's ass what we think.
  21. I always found listening to an important Bomber game that meant so much to me on radio hard to take back in the days of blackouts or games not being televised. I'd have to turn the game off I was so nervous & then come back later praying we were winning. I find it far less stressful to watch a game on television or in person.
  22. An extra day of hate. I embrace it.
  23. This team, this city, we fans are overdue. Holy **** are we overdue.
