  1. I ain't complaining. We lost the toss & the crowd cheered. We went out & scored. Then got the 2 point convert. The Ti Cats couldn't get it done in the clutch. Massoli made one of his Big Time throws... to us.
  2. TB4, I see your disagreement emoticon. Well, you don't have to agree with some of us that it was a great play, maybe the best of all time. But at least give the Bombers D credit for making it. Along with Simoni Lawrence belly aching on Twitter that he deserved the CFL DPOTY award over Adam Bighill. Then Marshall Ferguson's Big Time Throws Of The Year's with 25% of those plays going to Hamilton QBs. All the whining & crying by Hamilton does indeed make it sweeter. The Bombers are living rent free in all of Hamilton's heads right now from the players, coaches, management, ownership, media & fans. They are psyched right out. Yeah, considering he said mid season that his receivers can't make those contested catches.
  3. J Con looking dashing a la Bat Masterson.
  4. That's why it's soooo sweet.
  5. That's the thing, right? It's all subjective & obviously bent in the Ti Cats favour with 16 out of 64 Big Play Throws which is a quarter of all the plays he rated. Ferguson does the Ti Cats radio broadcasts on TSN Radio.
  6. You look good in a top hat, J Con.
  7. I also want to add to what I said by saying that Pierce just doesn't run LaPo's offense like some religious fool who worshipped at his feet. He also played under other OC's in BC & Winnipeg & he would have been influenced by them as well. He has a huge toolbox of knowledge & experience to draw from. The other is, Lapo was a receiver at a D3 college who never played in the CFL. Therefore, LaPo's knowledge would come from a different base. The qb reads would be different under Buck's system than LaPo's. Buck's offense would be more qb friendly with terminology than LaPo's. It would come from a different perspective.
  8. Only YOU could turn trashy stats like that into further pumping LaPo's tires. As far as Buck expanding upon LaPo's system, the longer the season went on, the less we saw of it. There weren't checkdown after checkdowns to the running backs. We pushed the ball downfield under Pierce. We didn't go all out to then sit on a 10 point lead for three quarters. We kept on going offensively. Only when we didn't play our starters in the last 2 regular season games did I feel the offense was spinning its wheels like it did all the time under LaPo. The other 12 we were better than the other 8 teams in the CFL. Buck played to win while LaPo has always played not to lose.
  9. The Bombers win B2B Grey Cups. Collaros is MOP. He's a CFL All Star. We had the highest scoring offense. We went 11-3. Lawler was the leading receiver in the CFL & the only pass catcher to have over a thousand yards. He was also a CFL All Star & our qb only has 4 "Big Time Throws" during the regular season & none in the playoffs or Grey Cup? Yet Massoli who threw the ball for The Pick in OT had 12??? WTH is this about other than to try & discredit what the Bombers did from a Hamilton cry baby? Chris "Fricking" Evans had 2??? Hamilton media & fans will always be bitter about how we stole what should have been rightfully theirs. They'll never give us credit where credit is due. Makes our victory even sweeter.
  10. I doubt Mortada would have gone 5 for 5 meaning the Ti Cats would have won.
  11. The Lions could have saved themselves some money.
  12. Why would Collaros play behind that tire fire of an offensive line?
  13. Exactly. The time, the place & the situation just made it such an incredible play.
  14. What else happened in 1958 when the Blue Bombers won their FOURTH Grey Cup.... Didn't sell well, either. Kellogg's invented Cocoa Krispies. Louis St Laurent was Prime Minister Dwight Eisenhower was President. Downtown Regina in 1958.
  15. During the season he's a guest once a week on Sports Talk on CHQR radio here in Calgary. The questions never challenge what he says on television broadcasts They're all soft ball type. "Hey Glenn, doing a great job, what's your opinion on....??" I stopped listening years ago.
  16. Justin Dunk covers the league but I believe John Hodge is a teacher. He's a fan first. No one will confide in him if they're a coach or GM. It would be like you & I calling Kyle Walters & asking his opinions. He'd hang up.
  17. The more I think about The Pick to win the Grey Cup, the more in awe I become. When you watch that play, the intelligence, athleticism & timing of that play with Deatrick Nichols deflecting the ball, Winston Rose having the presence of mind tto scoop the ball to Linebacker Kyies Wilson who cradled that ball like a newborn baby was probably a one in 10,000 play kinda thing. In all my years watching football going back to 1965 & maybe even a bit before, I have never seen anything like that. It was the greatest play I have ever seen. That was our defense working together just like they have all year to win a championship at the most critical time. It wasn't one player making an exceptional play. It was 3 with the help of the other 9. The Bombers Mike Gray interception on the goal line in the 1988 Grey Cup, Joe Namath guaranteeing a New York Jets win in over the 3 TD favourite Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III. The Immaculate Reception by the Steeler's Franco Harris against the Oakland Raiders in the 1972 AFC Championship Game, Houston Oiler's RB Earl Campbell's exceptional run down the sidelines in 1978 on ABC MNF, Marcus Allen's reverse pivot for a 74 yard TD run in Super Bowl XVIII. Hamilton Ti Cats Tony Champions outstretched Monster Catch for a TD in the 1989 Grey Cup (considered the greatest play in GC history), Well, move over Tony & everybody else as The Pick is now Number One as I see it.
  18. Are you surprised? Outside of televising games TSN spends little time promoting the CFL. But I'm sure 10-15% of those top plays were made by the Leafs. Oh look, another UNBELIEVABLY BEAUTIFUL tip in goal by Matthews. As far as what you believe, you're free to think whatever you want. I never even looked at the list.
  19. Older players like Harris always consider retirement at this time of year. I think it's a normal reaction as the committment to play is huge. If he's talking like this in February then he's serious.
  20. Sean Salisbury & James Murphy put on a show in the first half of that game.
  21. Wow, one of the greatest most athletic CLUTCH plays that won us a Grey Cup in OT & it isn't Number 1??? I don't know what game you were watching or what rules you use to define great plays. I'm not going to research the Top 10 All Time Bomber Greatest Grey Cup plays as that would take too long. I'll give you My Top 3... 1. THE PICK in Overtime: 2021 2, The Deflection & Interception on the Goal Line (All Mike Gray): 1988 3. Ken Ploen's Winning Run For A Touchdown in OT: 1961
  22. Three years between plays. What could possibly go wrong? Lol. Not a fan. We have to worry about our league & fans. Not if a player wants an NFL tryout. We have to get the CFL back on its feet.
