  1. Is Alexander Hollins someone we should try to sign? He was a very dynamic receiver before his knee injury a few years ago. Is he worth a look see?
  2. Maier looked like a qb I wouldn't want on my team. He looked just like he did in Calgary. Maier reminded me of Matt Nichols in his last couple of years. Can't push the ball downfield consistently on his deep throws. below average arm strength. Passes all over the field underneath. Throws 6 yards when he needs ten. Ten yards when he needs 20, etc. Maier seems afraid to take chances & let his receivers work to make contested catches & is just very conservative in his approach. You can't win with a guy like that who play so damned uninspired.
  3. Monday to Friday !0 pm...
  4. Brady is like any other power running back. He wants the ball & gets better with the more carries he gets. I don't think Oliveira would be effecive with 10-12 carries a game. He needs it 15, 20 or 25 times.
  5. The ratio is wrong for Cooley as running back is a canadian spot. So, how do we keep him?
  6. That little Green Drop should have learned to kick box. Poor Booch.
  7. We sure miss Jake Thomas tippytoeing out there.
  8. I prefer the 16 game schedule over 18. That's just me. I guess if they went to 16 games, the salary cap would be pro rated down accordingly.
  9. Instead of a 3rd pre season game, have a controlled scrimmage to cut costs. One team goes to the other team's camp & have it on their practice field, sell tickets, concessions, merch, etc.
  10. More like front headlock! Rourke or..... Ford??? At least Rourke can read a defense.
  11. Nothing fancy here. Just good old fashioned Rock from the 70's. RIP Rick Derringer. Derringer also sang lead on Come On Sloopy as a member of The McCoy's in 1965.
  12. Three straight losses. The decision making on personnel & how money is spent makes no sense.
  13. He refused to apologize for the sctions of priests on little boys & the abuse they suffered.
  14. Gotta say not happy seeing Woli & Lawler playing for the Ti Cats last night. It was still a shock to the system to see all the former Blue Bombers on that team even though we knew it already. I can understand releasing Woli & wanting to get more playing time for Clercius but Lawler? Currrently the best deep threat in the CFL at the moment. Walters better hope that Schoen plays every game, has a dominant season & get bogged down with injuries since Walters hasn't got a contract for next season. Neither has Osh.
  15. He was saying he wants to bring in something even louder next season. Which if I was a ticket holder in Montreal., I'd be very much against.
  16. The Als are still keeping their selfish & entitled "Oh whoa is me" fans in the loop. Making them feel like they're important when they're not.
  17. Jake brings little or nothing to the table as a player anymore. He gets washed out constantly. He puts very little pressure on opposings qbs. Halfbacks on other teams shoot through the hole right by him & he runs on his tippy toes. You're not wrong. It's an ego thing for Osh as in, "Look what I can do as a coach.". We also get extra draft picks.
  18. Don't care about the NHL. Only the hard cores here will watch & discuss.
  19. Jones was just an awful individual when it came to a lot of things but let's face it, you reward loyalty if you can still play effectively. You don't create loyalty by playing guys who can't do the things they used to do as well anymore just because of longevity. What does that do for the morale of the younger guys forced to sit it out on the sidelines while an aging & fading veteran still gets the majority of playing time? Where the loyalty there? Where the development? Where's the continuity of replacements when it's time? Lots of frustration from the younger players & that could explain why we can't seem to keep our guys for their second contract. Wally never did this. Neither did Huff. Don Matthews from all accounts was a great coach to play for. The veterans loved him but if individual performances of some of those veterans began to slide, those players were gone. That's how it should be. Someone like Jake Thomas should be told it's time to go. Give Jake a nice send off during the season but otherwise sayonara, goodbye.
  20. You have to wonder just WTH the Bombers are thinking. Pressure helps the back end. If you already have a talented defensive backfield hen hurrying passes from opposition qbs just eats offenses up. He had company last year.
