  1. Double shift with fogg starting is an option, but he looked bad in limited reps at sam imo. I hope mo gets better and back to his old self soon. If we add him and keep the other 4 its the best situation.
  2. If we are gonna mess with the ratio, we would be far better off rotating corney/thomas as a starter and going with an extra imp on the oL, foketi for neuf. I dont think we will see 8 starting NI or corney / thomas unless we see injuries else where though.
  3. For some reason people seem to think he has suddenly become a borderline all star. Idk I wouldnt trade corney for him and a 1st round pick. He wouldnt have been top 10 on the DL for us in camp. I get starting less then spectacular NI dts, a role guy eating up OL in the middle can do a ton for your edge rush. But sacrificing good end play is a horrible move imo. Id love to see petermann given some shots at it. I dont think augustine is well cut out to return. But I also dont love the idea of sending out demski. Id send simonise or ptermann.
  4. But also because bennett can run the same option package stuff as streveler. I really do not like our depth at DB. No extra cb/hb fogg doing double return duties and full time db with no one to rotate. since fogg is listed in both return spots i assume its lankford. Wilson played pretty well in pre season i hope we carry him. 5 back ups for mlb/wlb and none for cb, hb, or sam. God fordbid a db gets hurt. Jones would be the man to rotate and take an injured spot, and he is a good football player but he is far more a S then a cover guy.
  5. I expect to see all kinds of mixed looks with wings and motion flank to slot etc. I hope to see atleast some shovel / out side zone read option.
  6. I like the pick on petermann. I feel like he will play the best of the big three, but that he will see the field the least due to being behind demski. his height isnt impressive for getting on rides at disney land, no doubt. But when a guy that undersized makes the cut you gotta know he makes up for it on the field.
  7. Very much agree. A lot of times modern teams plan for wrs to run off the dbs rather then block. Weve seen some really good blocking from wrs in the past, kamau, milt, stoddard etc. Petermann seems like hed run through a brick wall if the first down marker was on the other side. Its too bad he isnt starting, I do think he is the better player right now between the 3 young guns. And yeah I expect to see some great blocks from the wrs this year. Just hope fully not from dressler or adams too much.
  8. Hold a clip board, so long as that doesnt get in the way of you getting the real players coffee... type of job.
  9. electric quick guy, kinda similar style player to fogg.Makes a lot of plays on the ball. Had a great camp.
  10. For bomber awards its interesting, the only guys we have on the active roster for rookies are streveler and bryant. I think cooper from the PR ends up winning Roty for us, or streveler by default. MODP bighill MOL Big stan. Sts medlock MOC demski MOP darvin adams. (long shot here, but I think he could have a monster year)
  11. No doubt. Dressler and adams can catch and run like mad. bowman is a beast in the red zone. The canadians have shown they more then belong as well. Harris can give him an out let pass with a chance at a first down every time. Most of that OL in bc never started a game before. Then add in the fact we arent running vanilla offense in the regular season and we have reason to hope.
  12. Yes i believer he did. But wasnt he on the field with like 1 active reserve OL and a bunch of wrs who are cut? He isnt going to be as good as his first game, or as bad as his second game in all likely hood. 13/19 184 yards 2 tds 1 pic 6 carries 42 yards (with a big run called back). That with pieces around him being found wanting in game two. I dont expect him to step in and be a star. I expect to see some mistakes and a learning curve. We cant say how quick he will pick it up. Some guys hit the ground running. other guys kick around for 3 years or more and still dont get how the game works up here. We will see what type he is for sure in the coming weeks, but I think he is the hit the ground running type.
  13. wow thats insane. Thats the most impressive metric from his college career imo. To run a spread with soo many options plays, a dual threat qb and soo many deep balls and not turn it over is mad.
  14. this year montreal might finally go 0-18. Theyve been working towards it for a few years but now is the time.
  15. 🤞 Dare to dream. This D with Mo back and playing like mo of old would be incredible.
  16. riley doesnt run as well but he does run very well. And yeah putting your head down and fighting for extra yards against those two up the middle with our athletic DL getting in on the back end of plays is a bad bad idea.
  17. I think nichols buys every one time. Worst case scenario He would get axed around ldc/bjb imo. But I dont think it happens.
  18. Im prediciting the bombers win 12 games. The same amount as calgary and edmontron. (calgary gets the bye, wpg plays in edm in the semi) No cross over. To wins the east, hammy hosts ottawa in the semi. Ssk fights till late for the cross over but misses. Bc and mtl fight in the battle of the basement. Wpg, Streveler has bumps and shows flashes. nichols comes back and we keep streveler in some specific package stuff. But he becomes the heir. Calgary begins falling off the pedestal. They struggle at RB, and blm gets nicked up. Edm lives and dies with reilly. The ol isnt as good as hyped but good enough. Bc the end of the buono era is more of a whimper then a roar. Hervey cleans house including jennings in the off season. ssk, Bridge is the starter by LD/BJB, but isnt ready to be the no1 you win with. To continues to ride the health of SJ and ray. But have a good year over all. Wilder runs all over the league. Ham also has a new starting qb by LD, johnny football. And we get an off season of will he go or wont he go. Ott sputters and flutters but eeks out enough wins. Leaving them looking at blowing it up in the off season as well. mtl shows flashes on D, but doesnt have the guns to run with any one. Willy shows some flashes again, only to be chased by injuries. For awards, Ray gets MOP for his final year. riles is the candidate in the west. June jones is coach of the year. Johnny football is rookie of the year. Bighill is DPOTY.
  19. Yep just the one day of light practise so far. With this franchise day to day could be any where from one day to life.
  20. We might end up DIing mo for a while allowing him to ease back into game shape having missed all of tc and pre season. (soo much for him being fully recovered in january)
  21. 4 and 5 is best imo. With bighill coveraging soo much space in the middle and loffler back deep, we could send the wil, or drop JSK and send bighill. Both would be much more affective then what weve seen in the past few years from blitz packages. I dont think we want to send more then that often though.
  22. I feel like ross would be a move not to lose, and streveler is a move to win. Reilly I think nails it. better foot speed and a quicker release.
  23. perhaps like having the old GD thread with and one with out gifs we could have an active open thread and specific ones. In the recent past every thing has just been mashed around and merged with discussions broken or killed.
  24. We saw a bit of that option and qb run stuff late last year. I think we will see a good dose of it till nichols is back. He did it pretty well in college too. A big difference maker is going to be his strength. Like bennett he isnt just a fast guy. He is strong enough to fight off arm tackles, sams and other dbs.
  25. pretty much. Though I would say the newer standard is to mix all out blitzes, show and drops, and zone blitz schemes to rattle and confuse them. With out the vet dbs in place, a lot of complicated zone blitz schemes arent soo likely.
