  1. I agree wade has the strongest single case. I like the idea of all 3 going up together. I don’t think biggie goes up in any hurry if at all. He’s behind others atleast one big one on D. Brady could end up the most prolific Canadian back in history in a couple years.
  2. I think the question is do all 3 mafioso go up? What wade has done for grass roots, and for involving kids/people in remote communities alone is hof worthy. What he’s done financially, creating a winning culture, and a long line of highly successful front office types to coaches is extraordinary. Walters with the player management side, scouting, resigning is an exceptional candidate as well.
  3. Oh for sure. It’s served every purpose for players. Hasn’t benefited any of the ways it was supposed to for teams. Like walters said no one is willing to take cuts after disappointing years but every one wants a raise for doing the same. Hasn’t given us more player movement and teams the ability to change their fortune in one off season.
  4. It’s funny that despite 1 year deals and massive roster turnover after each season we don’t actually see most of the best FAs hit free agency.
  5. Wasn’t the best qb on 2nd worst team in the league. Which was the worst for a big chunk of the year, and their offence got worse in every way after he came in. Id take him as at a cheap price as qb3 but not more than that. This off season is filled with guys who are gonna be settling for qb2 roles, he isn’t even the best in that group. Realistically he isn’t in the top 30 free agents.
  6. Unless Hamilton ends up axing Milanovich with a new gm.
  7. the same group of players has been torn on if the top half of the stamps them self are reputable or not. Mos, was also a hof on the short list of best Canadian players of all time. A lot of the hiring of a hc is based on interviews, and how your own character check into their background goes. Not saying he’s a bad hire, not sure there is a hc I’d get really excited about bringing in for any team this year. But a project hc for a team that has been every shade of bad for many years is not encouraging. Especially when they were almost a play off team after the ejection of jones. This move means another group that comes in and clears out old players and tries to start from scratch. Instead of building off what they had. But also when claybrooks got his job imo. Every time an established co get a hc job people celebrate.
  8. Maybe, or maybe not if Ted offers him a similar role with the same freedoms and more money.
  9. That’d be a great low risk high reward get and a great fit if he pans out.
  10. Especially not for a guy like him who spends most of his time at home in the states, especially coming up from that beautiful weather into these storms. He can pretty much come here for work paid as he pleases. Ham all expenses paid isn’t nicer than 20-30c and a drive from the beach. Generally guys who aren’t really wanting the job but going through it for experience etc pull out in the first week after 1 interview trip. Staying in longer than that to pull out or decline is kind of looked down on.
  11. Right? It’s like tsn and suitor with the ford v ford grudge all over again. And still some how wrong lol.
  12. https://www.cfl.ca/2024/11/29/cfl-cas-top-30-pending-free-agents-10/ these lists are usually trash but wow this one is extra steaming hot dookie.
  13. I get that, I think with our offence though he could really flourish. And he fits a big need for us in a big way.
  14. They have the same ast gm title. Could be more money though. they might since they are entirely reshaping the front office. The Hamilton connection, maybe he wants change, maybe they can offer more freedom especially if Ted leaves, might hire one of his guys as a scout under him etc. I don’t think Danny will want to leave, but who knows it is possible. You don’t take interviews and stay in it for a week with out having interest.
  15. Extra job in Hamilton is interesting. I wonder if they offer Mac a similar snowbird role as he has here with a better title and payday. Could open the door for them to poach both Ted and Danny.
  16. The chris jones technique. Now just needs to resign him self to a multi year cap crippling deal
  17. That and a truck full of money maybe?
  18. Could’ve worded it better with grouping the two.
  19. I’d be all over that. Better than the retreads. imo we are in good shape for him to go to bc. Unless for some reason they are married to maksymic
  20. Is tampering still even punished? In his case, does he also get an nfl look? I wonder what kind of cash he gets, can’t be desjarlais money right
  21. Yup. how would you build a coaching staff this off season? Top down for me, I’d try to get ac to be hc and oc, then Jy to be dc and ast hc. Ted as gm, Costello as ast oc. Maxie and Greg quick on D. Travis Moore and idk if he’d actually leave western but Greg Marshall on offense as well. People will hate it but I’d get reinebold to coach teams. After that 1 analytics guy, and room left over for extra scouts.
  22. I feel like they’ve already cooked their own goose.
  23. The big differences for me is 1, obviously a hof career as a player, and 2, mos was a bigger part of a more liberal coaching staff vs being a much smaller part of a very controlled coaching staff. Killiam became the ast hc just as the stamps decent into dumpster fire began as well. I think the only way you hire killiam is to be a figure head while keeping benevides and maksymic plugging him in as hc/sts co with one of the cos becoming ast hc. And that assumes killiam would want that kind of role. With the coaches cap now, it’s much harder to balance a staff around a hc whose hands on section is special teams. You are gonna be hamstrung paying both cos more, and struggle even more with position coaches. (The situation we are in, only we’ve developed both our cos in house)
