  1. Bryant was a stud up the middle. He would be a killer pick up. plenty of guys bounce back n forth. Have to remember the majority of our guys were in nfl camps before coming to the cfl. Guys like bolden and sellers bounced back and forth a couple times. We cut that returner before grant for him to go back to the nfl and then back to the cfl. Stoudemire? qbs and ol are also different. They are in such high demand right now the window is larger than say de or db.
  2. Would’ve also said no way the jets cut him lol. He sure should get another shot. Idk how much eligibility he has for the nfl pr left either. Idk he’d roster and he’d get some action. For sure a game or two at the end of the season. But he wouldn’t start. It’s a tough position for him. And not fair given what he’s done and his skills. I don’t envy the decision he has to make. He is young enough though to come back here and go back down south with more leverage. I hope what ever he chooses works out well for him.
  3. Man I would love to get streveler back here. But we also need more nfl tc cut reinforcements than usual right now. Dl wil db rb/wr and ol. Probably more than one db too. On top of if we manage to get one of our guys back from an nfl camp. Any of whom would be huge. I feel like they are also high on brown and prukop is cheap. But strevy as qb2 bumping off prukop would be huge.
  4. Oday is no choir boy him self and I’m sure he could muster up a couple other players to escort Marino out. I think Marino would play the victim and be expecting a call from the rest of the league. He’d think he was gonna cash in. And he would get a real rude awakening. Stern talked the talk but didn’t walk to walk. You can’t be on social media trolling and guaranteeing wins then not even go to the damned game. That’s not interacting with fans that’s him catering to his own ego. Doman walks the walk.
  5. Now why do you even bring a guy in if you are gonna cut him if he lights the world on fire that’s just piss poor roster management. Teams that carry tcf especially at qb in the nfl are cannon fodder for the rest of the nfl.
  6. 9500 per week. So 171k ish per season us. So 222k a year up here with exchange. In reality probably more buying power here. Living expense in New England probably higher. Idk the nuance of the taxes but I’m sure Uncle Sam and uncle Trudeau would take more than just taxes up here. With our question id offer him 250k range per year for 1 year or up to 6+. He’s worth more than Kenny lawler.
  7. I feel like he was all bark. Dorman in bc is what he should’ve been. Sounds like khari dodged a bullet. What a gong show which guy on dragons den isn’t the annoying one? Lol idk any thing about this guy but seems like the problem is not him or stern to me https://3downnation.com/2019/06/05/dragons-den-vincenzo-guzzo-too-hot-for-the-cfl-to-handle/
  8. Yeah not to mention the ridiculousness that is the franchise tag. It’s the anti nba. I mean unrestricted free agency only came in 1993. I think it’s just the owners are much stronger and maybe the pa is afraid to rock the boat too hard. A lot of the revenue streams are close partners with the owners not the league or product.
  9. That’s both really interesting and kinda sad. Considering the wear a football player faces and how much more money is made in the nfl. I’ll have to check out mlb now it’ll be interesting to see how they do it with the minors. Sounds like they really like him. He might sit on their pr a bit to keep pushing the young guys. And he might get another offer or two based on his strong reviews in Broncos camp. But he won’t become a starter in the nfl that way. But he also won’t become a starter in the nfl by backing up and rotating in the cfl. That said it’d be huge to get him back.
  10. That’s true. And it’d be good for the league if they trimmed from the top 20% to fund it and reduce the entry limits. any one know what comparable leagues pension is like?
  11. The ability of people to defend plop are evaporating more and more every day. The wrs we bring in don’t suck. Strevy can throw. He didn’t win with Masoli. Super proud of strevy. I’m sure he will get an nfl job this year some where if the jets cut him.
  12. I wish I got a nothing pension of 50k a year. It also includes significant health care too. The minimum pension covers about 100% of the deductible and leaves them with around 30k a year. also have to remember that not a ton of pro athletes do well after retirement financially. Any time you get huge sums of cash or pay with out the financial skills normally attributed to earning that kind of cash the rate of bankruptcy goes sky high. It’s a great safety net for a lot of guys. for guys who come from poverty, learning to manage a 6 or 7 figure income is harder than staying in the league. id like to see the pension be much better for guys who don’t play a lot of games or earn big bucks. If you go through three training camps and pre seasons with out playing enough games to earn the pension you’ve still put your body through a whole lot.
  13. Strevy is doing great. Pretty awesome to see a bunch of former bombers doing well down south.
  14. Maybe recovering at home. If he’s expected to miss the season it’s pretty common. although if he’s also behind ba and Hallett in recovering he’s likely coming back to face a pr spot any way.
  15. Should send that in a memo to Dan Marino, the entire 01 bombers roster, and every kicker to ever live. Member medlock in the nfl? I member. likely we will see the beginning of air lifts in the next two weeks. I expect edm to have 90% of a new roster worth of player changes with in a month.
  16. Cus the first thing jones did when he joined the elk is get rid of all their nis.
  17. Agree. Teams played him like kyrie and he did well. Teams adjusted and he hasn’t since.
  18. On offense I’d like to see either another imp wr or maybe a rb if we keep mcg at wr. At this point if Brady is good to go it’d be good to bring in a rb for the pr. Grabbing an ni like peterrman would be nice. It’s not magic but it’s not adjustments every game. We’ve seen that same package a lot and it’s been especially weak against the run.
  19. True but the 4th quarter bomber defense is always much tighter. Going imp at s and ni at wil while bringing Mack back onto the active roster would be nice. Clements is still worth carrying as a di. He’s good on teams. When he’s kept clean he’s good at scraping to the play and he’s very quick. But he’s not able to get off blocks. And no one is going to let clements sit back un blocked and get to the hall.
  20. 1 game. worth a conditional mid pick imo. But with the nfl cuts coming up we can probably get a good db that can play for cheap. But darbys versatility and experience here would be great. I’d love to see him at s and flip the ratio at wil
  21. “Not even in the honorable mentions” “he’s better than wade miller” you’re cherry picking to create reasons to be angry, again.
  22. Even if he demski and woli are 100% having no ni back up is a terrible risk. 100% we should get atleast Mack back on the roster. If We could get an imp wr back from the ir we could move mccgrae back to rb. But it would be nice to sign one when nfl cuts come out. Or we could actually try using Harrison. Such an awful roster spot waste. at this point Briggs and Gauthier rotating at wil wouldn’t be much of a down grade. After a good start weve struggled a lot more at wil.
  23. I’m guessing they didn’t want to over work Parker when he had to draw in to full time db duty. But if you’re gonna have him do one job he should return punts and let some one else return kick offs. taylor has very modest return experience and it’s long past. He didn’t look comfortable at all.
  24. Borsa is about all I can think too for an ni. Augustine’s been banged up this year too though. If Brady is out we don’t want to start Augustine with no ni back up. Just my opinion but I don’t think Augustine is 100% either. In general we are real thin at ni wr/rb right now. If Brady isn’t good to go and Augustine has to start we’d have 3 starting nis between the two positions with no back ups. we start 8 but still that’s very little insulation for 3 guys who’ve all been hurt this year.
