I mean- what about Cornelius’ play doesn’t convince you that he is going to make a poor read? I agree, I think you need guys willing to make game changing plays - it will always be a matter of the when the explosion play will occur and the ability to mitigate it. I’ve noticed ADS gets thrown at a lot too- but I guess you gotta go somewhere - and if he starts getting even more comfortable to the point he is not just keeping the play in front of him (which - like you say- is just fine) it will be a real issue for other teams.
-
Houston definitely tried to jump a route when Cornelius pump faked and got caught - he also definitely tripped. Mitchell is also a good receiver with speed.
-
I’m not saying they don’t exist but I don’t think they’re the norm. 6’2 is a really big DB and he doesn’t play. Chris Jones has a body size fetish - they also aren’t a good secondary.
-
I wish MOS laid into Briggs for two dog **** tackling efforts on Crum last week like he went in on Cole after.
-
Cornelius is looking for that call. He is basically looking for the ref before he hits the turf. It was borderline - but there was definitely some acting involved. If he did go head to head then it is a penalty and it is what it is.
-
It looked like Cole was getting reps, good to see. The offence needs to show up at the beginning of games - or at all if you look at last week and BC. Bye week should bring some changes to both play calling and roster. 5-2 and being unhappy about it is still pretty enjoyable.

So annoying I heard Tait say they want people to all the uniform elements at home. These stupid thirds can’t disappear fast enough.
-
Definitely was his rep when we drafted him.
-
Best believe they’d flip a table over to get him now though.
-
None of those weights is really a DB size though. This seems most likely
-
I am pretty sure he was anyway. Maybe he was playing G actually.
-
Oh I know. I would just love to hear it.
-
Well he was our starting C until the COVID stuff took him out at the end of 2021. A hilariously inequitable rule that caused us to lose our starting C but allowed Masoli to play.
-
That’s a good point about officially backing him up. They must be planning on easing him in.
-
The OL is frustrating. I wish we could hear the reasoning.
-
I don’t think you would. SAM is more of an extra DB but the WIL requires a guy to be a big part of the run stop. You see what happens when OL get to the next level on undersized WILs and it isn’t good.
-
Nobody is expecting him to be a candidate for DMOP anyway - but he has had a productive career and a good player in this league. As has really been the only point made towards signing him - at this point we need somebody. His risk is low outside of pay. We know what we are going to get.
-
We need more than a warm body at this point. We have nobody - and one of our starters has had trouble staying healthy. Having no DEs on the PR is a fail right now.
-
Where we are depth wise (currently nobody) I’m ready to pull the trigger.
-
I have a feeling Hansen isn’t playing football this year.
-
It seems pretty crazy given his season last year.
-
The real work over the Bye is to fix the PR. Said it before - didn’t want to do it- but I’d be trying to bring Lemon in as well.
-
Take away the pass protection aspect which could be the result of several things. The run blocking looked like dog **** last game.
-
Both Eli and Dobson should be able to slide in without a bye week IMO. They know what they’re doing and have been around/played regularly.
-
I don’t see roster mismanagement being the critical component of any loss so far this year. I think that lets our players and play calling off the hook too easily. I do agree that I don’t understand why half our PR is here.
