  1. When it comes to worst owner ever, it would seem that some of you have forgotten this former owner: because neither Glieberman or Wettenhall ever had their kid play QB
  2. The Strategy: Try and find a thread with lots of similar points of view, Bait them with a contrary post, Use their reaction to claim that you are being misunderstood, Reject any posts that point out the contrarian nature on display , Grab the "everyone is mean to me" card and wave it frantically. I call it the TBURG approach.
  3. Hmmmm, would it be just a bit too suspicious if I did that? I guess I could live in my car...
  4. I showed this to my boss. He had a second option if I felt that I really had to go. Banishment will hurt, but at least I won't have to live under a bridge...
  5. But at the same time, if you double the number of paying customers at BMO, that's a good thing, right?
  6. Contrarian is contrary. That shtick just never ever gets old...
  7. No issue at all with casual fans. I do however get more than a little frustrated with "fans" who only come on here to rag about every loss and how bad the team is. I'm expecting that they'll be out in full force if we lose, but if we win, I hope they'll have the good sense to not come here claiming "I knew it all along. Go Bombers!" My hope is that win or lose, we appreciate how far this franchise has come over the past few years.
  8. Anyone got the schedule for when the bandwagon goes by? There's probably a few people who will be jumping on...
  9. Translation: I said something to get a reaction. It got a reaction, then I pretend outrage because I got exactly what I was going for. Par for the course.
  10. Wouldn't be a win without someone throwing shade. If we won 99-3, the script would read something like "Don't expect us to score that much next time. We got lucky"
  11. Between this post and the Carr thread, I gotta ask, is your house under any high voltage power lines, because... dang.
  12. His "success" in this league might suggest otherwise.
  13. Pinning your hopes on "blind squirrel finds nut" strategy might be a problem. I don't recall anyone saying "we just have too much American talent" during he tenure. Ya, he found some good players, but every GM can do that. We can do better than bringing back past failures like Taman.
  14. Wow, even though we've lost our starting QB for the remainder of the regular season I'm still going to predict that we end up in the playoffs. Remember, you heard it here first!
  15. Yes, because look at all the Grey Cups he's brought to the teams he's been on. He's a real talent magnet.
  16. But... but.. he's a known name and he was good for a couple of weeks several years ago. We might as well track down and sign Michael Bishop while we're at it.
  17. Seem to be an awful lot of putrid offences in the CFL then. One thing you might want to factor in is the fact that the offence is playing against a defense comprised of pro level players who are proably of the opinion that if they were to give up 5 yards on a 3rd and 5 their defense would be putrid, so ya, it is you.
  18. Serious question: Are you Thorpe's mom or his agent, because you gotta be one or the other.
  19. No. More like understating.
  20. And for anyone thinking that the Lions are playing with nothing to lose, I think that you're dead wrong on that. The players probably know that there is a strong possibility of a shake up coming and each one of them is playing to prove that they deserve a job, that they didn't quit. They're playing for pride and their future. That's not nothing.
