  1. Past hour
  2. I did get a kick out of barely touching the face mask = roughing the passer but legit trying to break an ankle is ok.
  3. Maybe the off balance just counteracts his usual ducks?
  4. A lot of those issues with allowing the Als to flood on cover are related to Mitchell not attacking the ball. Then everyone is anticipating him actually grabbing the ball but he's still waiting and the Als are all right at the line of No Yards ready to drop on him.
  5. Sometimes it's ok to just smash the ball at the other team... that's what works for Oliveira. Just wear them down. The key for all of it though is to stay on the field and allow it to take a toll. It's also a long term thing where eventually he's going to pass and everyone will in theory be looking for the run.
  6. Not really. I just think this goes back to last season. I think every time Zach sucks some ppl refuse to admit that it could be anything but rust. He looked like this last year vs Edmonton before being hurt. Was it rust then also.
  7. It's possible. I have no idea what size/weight the CFL chip is but at least for the USFL ones, there were reports that it was also affecting their QB's. https://www.sportsbusinessjournal.com/Daily/Issues/2022/04/26/Technology/usfl-abandons-sensors-in-kicking-balls.aspx
  8. If Zach sucks next game I think it’s time for him to be put on the bench. That would be 3 almost 4 in a row cuz ya Zach not great in playoffs
  9. He said it looked closer on the iPad on the look he had but admitted later when he saw another angle that it was clean.
  10. New slogan, "our balls are chippier." All they need to do is have balls set aside for kicking. NFL has forever.
  11. You are hell bent on downplaying the factor that not playing 90% of the starting offense at all in preseason has.... I mean did guys like Oliveira or Demski even get a week of camp time? The O was a mess and it wasn't just because Collaros had a terrible night.
  12. I don't think you are in the minority at all. That would be the best case scenario. I think most of us worry though that if ZC can't pull out of it, the staff will be too stubborn or too late to recognize it.
  13. Streveler coming in. 9 year old who has watched 5 bomber games in her life but 3 at the stadium. Oh he’s gonna run and he did pretty much every time. If my 9 yr old can figure it out so can Thorpe.
  14. The rust showed the last game last year vs Montreal also. Do ppl ever think maybe it wasn’t as simple as just rust.
  15. So, are you suggesting that all the balls are "chipped" with something the size (and weight?) of a golf ball? I'm grasping at straws here but could that impact Collaros' long throws where more than a little "touch" is required?
  16. We came in fat and happy. Practice? We don't need no stinking practice. Then the rust showed. The timing was off. The throws were off. The kicks were off. The fans were pissed off. It might be exactly what we needed to force the team to refocus and get down to business.
  17. I’m thinking Osh trusts his players at times to much. Might be a case of asking the guys and Mitchell and them saying he was within 5 yards. At first look I thought wow he was tackled instantly so must have been no yards.
  18. Not a good look at any level of football. Can't be a spectator.
  19. A golf ball inside the football? They didn’t think that one through. My 9 yr old could tell you that would effect kicks.
  20. Lots of issues and errors from the Bombers last night. Most have been pointed out and discussed. Has anyone mentioned O'Shea's challenge on the punt/fumble/no yards play? I can understand why he challenged it (sort of).....fumble lost, upstairs folks probably gave him the green light. But one of the replays showed that one of the Montreal players looked like he was maybe literally a foot inside the 5 yd zone. So, no one should have been surprised that reviewers didn't call it. Lost challenge, lost time out.
  21. Seriously? Haba was causing problems for the als all night... he was really good, hands up high penalty aside he was one of the brightest spots on the team.
  22. No they didn't. The NFL has been using microchips in their balls since about 2017 - the difference is the size of the chip. The NFL chip is about the size of a thumbnail while the USFL chip (and presumably the CFL too if it's causing this issue) is about the size of a golf ball. AFAIK, the data collected isn't really kicking related so a simple solution might be to have a separate set of regular balls for kicking plays & save the chipped ones for everything else.
  23. Yup I had the exact same thought after the game. Hope not. I know I'm in the minority and for good reason, but I still hold hope ZC can find his old form in some way, maybe not fully, but to a level where CS can fill in nicely and compensate for his deficiencies.
  24. Wilson Jake and Alexander plus kola are all closer to the end than the beginning. Bryant also unfortunately and neufeld but the one who might have 1 foot through the door right now is Zach when the vet QB looks like a rookie you got problems
  25. Dru brown wouldn’t have got 1 rep last night as Collaros did not get hurt. The only time brown came in is when Zach basically got folded like an accordion or took a head shot. Zach honestly looked like he did against Edmonton the 1st half last year until he got hurt and dru came in and won the game. But he stayed healthy so he played the entire game. I’m disappointed in our oc and coach not recognizing Zach don’t got it and to put his ass on the bench for a series or 2 at the least.
