  1. Past hour
  2. I agree of course, to do otherwise would be to revise history. But what happened in 2024 and 2025, leaves me just a bit hesitant. Some decisions were simply baffling.
  3. back in the day when he was an argos coach he did a Q&A thing on cfl.ca. I asked him how defensive plays are called and whether the D can make audibles based on what they see. Got a terrific multi-paragraph response back from him. Definitely got the sense that he cared about doing this tiny nothing gig for some fan on the internet.
  4. You might be right, but Father Time is always undefeated.
  5. nope. see https://www.argonauts.ca/2025/10/22/hogan-a-look-at-the-argos-roster-for-2026/
  6. Based on this season, I think when Zach has a really good OL and receivers to throw to, he can still be elite... When he doesn't have the right tools, Arbuckle certainly looks better.
  7. I am not sure who's to blame and I'm not going to pretend I am. I just think some might think twice and take a closer look, before hiring him.
  8. Arbuckle is also signed for next year.
  9. I will guarantee they don't. All people see is "Competitive team every single year that went to the GC every year from 2019 to 2024 and one of the greatest Leaders Of Men in league history".... Also: Took a franchise from the depths of hell to a GC in about 5 years. Everyone wants that.
  10. Arbuckle is a FA and might follow RD to Ottawa.
  11. Based on this season, I don't ZC is much better than Arbuckle. Arbuckle played some decent ball and is pretty low on the list of Argos' concerns.
  12. Perhaps those opinions are Walters has gone to sleep. Sounds like O’Shea is well respected and basically coveted around the league. Teams have coaches but sounds like if they didn’t O’Shea is number 1 on their lists. Regardless of what people who don’t work for pro football teams say. If Argos willing to give him control they obviously believe.
  13. 2015 TD MB we happened to run into Osh and have a chat and that lifelong Elkskimo/TiCat/Argo won me over. I'm obviously a frothing at the mouth RABID fan of the "Grand Ol Loop" (tm Our Man Tait), and it's rare to meet people with that much passion and knowledge of this league and it's history. Osh is a kindred spirit for me, for sure. If this is the end, I'm hoping to run into him again this week for a chat and a beer.... Thank him for everything.
  14. The current state of the Bombers OL/DL might put a 'pause' on some of those opinions.
  15. Whatever decision O’Shea makes is fine with me. It’s his life not mine. He’s free to go or free to stay, either way I hope the decision is made quickly. Maybe he calls a press conference and says he’s taking his talents to the big smoke. Who knows. He’s earned his right to choose. just hope we know sooner rather than later. I think if he goes we could see some significant changes here. Like I could see Zach to Toronto. I really could.
  16. Well to really dissect the overall situation of the argos my detailed analysis is that they suck.
  17. That could very well be it. The last paragraph.
  18. It's completely this. He has earned the opportunity to choose his own destiny. Everyone around the league knows he's the absolute top option in the CFL, and would give him whatever the hell he wants. I'm just not sure Toronto can offer him anything that we can't, aside from "physically closer to North Bay"... So it's a matter of where he wants to live at this point. We can offer the same money... The same freedom to do what he wants... Does he want a new challenge? Does he want continuity? Is Walters planning on staying and they want to keep this thing going, or does Walters situation (staying or going) have some impact on Osh's decision? I am curious what Wade's take on all this is. Maybe Wade comes in and says "a bunch of **** needs to change around here" and Pinball says "You are free to do whatever you want..." And THAT'S the clincher?? Time will tell...
  19. Who is to say Dinwiddie don’t take a bunch with him to Ottawa even. Nobody knows right now the actual state of coaching staffs in Toronto Ottawa and Winnipeg right now. Dinwiddie is coach and gm in Ottawa. That’s all we know today.
  20. Regardless of catch or not, for the record tho it’s a good catch in the history books but BC had I’m gonna say 2 maybe 3 chances to pretty much get 1 2 first downs and they win and can run out the clock. They didn’t. They then gave up 73 yards in about 35 seconds to lose the game. I’ve heard Osh and all coaches say your O needs to bail out your D at times and vice versa. Well, BCs O failed as did their D. 73 yards in 40 seconds is inexcusable
  21. Overall thoughts on the Argos current and future coaching situation?
  22. Oh it absolutely touched the ground but the arm was under it and he had control, more or less... I'm not incensed about the call by any means.... And that says a lot, coming from me...
  23. I’m sure part of Osh maybe agreeing to go is giving him control of his staff also. He’d take younger with him. Same with Mike miller for sure. Guaranteed. I get the feeling tho if we don’t hear Osh has agreed to a deal with the Argos by Wednesday then it’s probably not gonna happen and he’s gonna stay here. Really depends on what O’Shea wants I think. If he wants to go he will, if he wants to stay he will.
  24. Jets scored what. 4 goals in 3 games. they have zero depth scoring and are the oldest team in the league. Pittsburgh started out 6 and O then went on a similar road trip and never recovered when they were the oldest team in the league. I think there’s some concerns here. Toews and Lowry should be 3 center and 4 center. Not 2 and 3 cuz they don’t produce enough O. Also I think niedereitter and Lowry are a terrible fit. Nino really struggling.
  25. I hardly think that we need a third DC
  26. CFL players allowed to compete in flag football at the 28 olympics.
