London Knife Attack - Terrrorism

Recommended Posts

(CNN)A man stabbed three people at an east London tube station Saturday before police subdued him with a stun gun and made an arrest, London's Metropolitan Police said.

Police said they were treating the stabbing at Leytonstone station as a terrorist incident.

Really poor choice of weapon for an an effective terrorist attack.  Guess he couldn't find a sale on Uzi's at his local gun shop.

Yeah, too bad he didn't have pipe bombs, grenades & semi automatic rifles. There/s nothing worse than a terrorist who doesn't think things through.

Happened in England? Interesting, the reason it wasn't an UZI or whatever was because England has some pretty strict gun laws. But what this proves is that guns, knives, it's really irrelevant... if someone is crazy enough, they will do whatever they want.

Makes you wonder if maybe just maybe, it's "ISIS" saying, we don't need guns to do this stuff.

You can't really tie these random attacks to ISIS as an organization as I'm sure they didn't provide this nutbar with the knife or explicit instructions on what to do with it.  This is not to deny that desperate people will not sympathize with the "cause" and execute criminal acts on behalf of the organization and their beliefs in the hope of giving up their lives or freedoms in the publicity of the "cause".

If this guy had an automatic assault rifle he does a lot more damage than minor injuries to three people.

These attacks might even be scarier. The idea being it doesn't have to be a 9/11 or a Paris. And it doesn't have to be organized. ISIS creates a call to arms for those that share their views to kill one person, five people, ten....it doesn't matter.

Trying to make people feel unsafe in everyday life doing everyday things. Where you might feel the odds are in your favour to avoid a Paris or New York, these smaller attacks cause a paranoia. And it makes ISIS seem like a group that can get you wherever you are even if they have no direct involvement.
