Bombers add linebacker Denicos Allen

WINNIPEG, MB., May 18, 2015 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announce today the club has signed International linebacker Denicos Allen.

Allen (5-11, 220, Michigan State, August 9, 1990 in Hamilton, Ohio) played his collegiate football at Michigan State. As a senior in 2013 with the Spartans, Allen recorded a team-high 98 tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks and one forced fumble, earning an All-American nod, while his team went 13-1 and won the Rose Bowl. Allen was a three-year starter, earning All-Big Ten honors each year. He finished his Spartans career with 54 games played, including 40 starts, and 278 tackles. Allen was signed by Carolina immediately after the 2014 NFL Draft. He also spent time on the St. Louis Rams practice roster, and with Tampa Bay last season.

Looks like a pretty solid prospect there. Glad they have recognized LB as an area of concern. 

 

Anyone on twitter following Ian Wild? just a interesting note but his profile pic is still that of him wearing his bomber gear, wonder if maybe he's got a deal with the bombers in the back closet in case he don't make the Steelers.
