December 31, 20241 yr Author Just now, Goalie said: Why He referenced 4 Nations. 24 minutes ago, Goalie said: Didn’t watch. Highlights make it look kinda boring but 3 0 is 3 0. Helle did not stand on his head it appears so that’s a plus. Makes me wonder if he starts against the Avs also. Ottawa was more exciting. I dont know if it was the Prime coverage but the crowd seemed muted but then the 1st period was muted.
December 31, 20241 yr The better question is why the hell is Logan Stanley still in the f****** lineup! And on the second pairing no less. have no idea what the hell they see in him.

Either Chevy is playing the long trade con with Stanley or Arniel sees him ahead of Heinola.

Nice shutout win, my only real question is will Nashville put up another banner for not scoring? On an unrelated note. I don't hate Nashville like I used to. But the hate for Minnesota, Vegas and St Louis is still there. Also not a fan of the Leafs or Oilers either. That's more for their fanbases and TSN slurping them.
December 31, 20241 yr I was definitely impressed with Coughlan last night. Stood out for the right reasons, unlike Stanley. Moved the puck really well and seemed smart and efficient

December 31, 20241 yr Stanley is gradually, slowly getting better, making some smart plays when there’s limited pressure, he’s a big body with a physical presence the Jets need on D but, and there’s always a but especially here with this player, teams are exposing his lack of speed and his slowness to react to a play unfolding (especially when he is on the pk). His inability to consistently box out his man is troubling, his knowing when to pinch and when not to, his positioning all need vast improvement to play at this level. You’re never comfortable watching him when teams are forechecking and applying pressure.

December 31, 20241 yr Against Ottawa on Saturday he got so lost in front of Helle and it cost them a goal. The man he was covering in the slot drifted away from Stanley and toward the blue line, and Stanley didn't know whether to stay with him or not, so he's caught in no man's land doing nothing except screening Helle. That was a bit maddening.
