Game 48: vs. Lightning

Lightning coming off a back to back after losing 3-2 to the Wild.

Jets when coming off a lengthy break seem to be stuck in quicksand in the 1st period.   Team should feel confident after shutting out the Canucks.

Hopefully we can score early and dictate the pace.   Jets should have the advantage.

Go Jets Go!  Sorry @iHeart, I don't have your fancy line up image.

I don’t know why Maurice keeps switching Bourque and Harkins.  It’s bad enough Harkins only gets 6 minutes, he can’t even get a few games in a row, to get into a rhythm.  Stupid.

this is not the start I was hoping for

Copp with a brain-dead offensive zone turnover.  And how in the world do you let Stamkos in alone?

Well this is looking like a short night. Unbelievable

Scheifele was lazy coming back.  That 3rd goal is a back breaker and very preventable.

Brossy is now in net

and we are finally on the board, thanks Roslo

This is flat out embarassing.  2 flipping days off between games ..  playing a team coming off a back to back... And they lay this egg on HOME ice.   What a joke .

Would have pulled Helle after that 3rd goal.

Not sure whether Kulikov gets a + or -.

Time to start tanking I think. And get Alexis LaFreniere.

Well all teams that miss the playoffs get a chance right?

Someone tell Beyak it’s not Cam SCHILLINGTON.

FFS that was an easy challenge win for the Jets on that disallowed goal.

I agree.  Obviously it doesn’t make any difference in the outcome, but that should have been a goal.  Challenge it.

Win its a goal for Ehlers who probably will end the year at 29 :), lose and its a penalty in a game already over. No care from PaMa.

BTW. Worst home loss for Jets since 2011.

Well if Maurice survives this past horrendous stretch at home and a loss like this he's 1000% closing out this season as the coach and getting an extension, probably 2 years.

You watch what guys like Sbisa and Kulikov are doing jumping guys at centre ice and allowing 2 on 1's or even 2 on 0's into the Jets zone behind them and you have to wonder if that's the plan or they are doing their own thing.  Either way that coach needs to go.

ive seen a lot of hockey to get the feeling when someone is about to get fired. If it was Detroit last night. Maurice would be gone today.

He will squeak out of this year because of all the D injuries... the team is ‘over-achieving’
