One man's take:

This is a real "apples to oranges" comparison for these 3, given the different eras and styles of play that existed and how the different positions have evolved. so I can only say all 3 are very deserving candidates for their own reasons. I suspect this will come to personal favoritism for voters. Edwards has the best numbers overall and the most 1000 yards seasons, Nielsen was his team's leading receiver the most times and his passport is a bonus, and Nicklin had the most team success and was the most "jack-of-all-trades" in filling multiple roles. I welcome testimonials for your favorites, I will make my vote anonymously and not try to influence anything, but I will say that any of these "back-ups" would be massively deserving of being starters and stars on any team in this league in any era.

When Tuttle got moved to the slotback category, he got many votes fewer than Edwards. If he couldn't beat out Edwards in the slotback voting, why would he beat him out here in the 5th receiver voting? I took the first runner-up in each of the 3 previous receiver categories.
