  1. I think the East just simply likes having crossovers in their playoffs. They're going to be going on a record streak for consecutive years it's happened.
  2. I can't wait to see us go into THF and knock Masoli off his high horse
  3. I could see the Als making it close as I believe they got some better things going than the hapless Argos. But I don't think they quite finish it.
  4. Yes, plus how does being 2-0 and 1st in the West make us mediocre I wonder?
  5. Trevor Harris, a ton of passing yards ... No TDs Matt N ... Not a ton of passing yards but 3 TDs Yup I think I know who I'm taking there Passing yards are meaningless
  6. It might be just a select few posters I'm seeing do this, but man some of these criticisms just get so old. Sure it's all warranted and good to rip the guy when he throws bad passes or makes a bad decision, but now it's rip him even when he completes a deep ball to Matthews that was called back, or the one to Whitehead that stood? I mean, what is this? Some Nichols witch hunt where he can do no right or something? I'm not going to pretend that Nichols was all good, but on series's where our offense was off he wasn't the only one who made the errors. Andrew Harris was not good either outside his TD catch and had as much to do with the struggles, as did Fenner on defense, Adams and some of Lapo's play calls that 17to85 talks about. Nichols isn't above criticism and he doesn't necessarily deserve heaps of praise on his head. But it's absolutely ridiculous to assume that he single-handedly wins or loses games. That's not how Mike O'Shea's team works. And his passing yards are meaningless. You can rack up yards all day against bend but don't break defenses, but if you don't get TDs out of them, you are overrated. Yup, I said it. Passing yards are completely meaningless.
  7. No, you guys just constantly obsess with passing yard numbers when they can be absolutely meaningless.
  8. This, and it gets so old that Nichols gets scapegoated for all the offense's problems. Now I'll concede a few things: Did the offense put together a complete game? No, we hit some big play TDs but had a lot of stalls and 2 and outs as well, so there is room for improvement. But Edmonton does have a pretty good defense, so I'll take it anyway. Did Nichols make a few bad decisions? Sure, I thought he probably should have held off on that overthrow to Matthews. But there were many other mistakes on offensive players. Harris didn't have a good game either, Darvin Adams was criticized by Dunnigan, and Chandler Fenner almost looks like another Roc Carmichael. And Lapolice had a lot of brain fart play calls. But at the end of the day, being 2-0 and number one in the West with a favorable stretch of games coming up, this game was about as good as I could have hoped.
  9. My top guy for this one ... Lucky Whitehead hands down, 2 TD says all 2. Winston Rose - replaced Chris Randle already 3. Jackson Jeffcoat, best job upfront by far Goats: Chandler Fenner - awful Andrew Harris - while he scored one TD, he had a bad game with those two fumbles Lapolice - called some good plays with Whitehead and Demski, but called his old play not to lose ones again too
  10. That his narrative that Nichols is solely to blame whenever anything goes wrong on offense is ridiculous
  11. Well, I still noticed Mr Chip got quiet though
  12. Winston Rose is quickly making Chris Randle forgotten here. I suspect Lapolice will go after Randle a lot next week btw
  13. Well and I'm saying you're wrong about that, but whatever.
  14. Hey at least the lead singer put on the Bomber colors. Course now ... Would she do that in Regina I wonder?
