55 and 26 have been the most guilty of doing what They want to this year. The fact they take 2 minute shifts says all you need to know. Its so painfully obvious.. The lack of discipline and Accountability is a huge problem

Except wheeler Scheif Connor ehlers laine Perreault copp even etc are not that type of player. They are skill guys. In football we refer to this as square pegs in round holes.

This is such a myth tho.. They are a skilled team being forced to play a grinding dump n chase cycle game. Jets might be tall i guess.. But not really... I don't know where this myth started... Jets were a grinder team when Ladd was here but not since then.. 100 percent skill team playing a grinding game that dont work with skilled players.. Its not just the O that is sputtering since the start of the new year.. These guys cant make 2 passes in a row.

Don't need to understand what it means to know its not good. I look at this chart and wonder how Maurice still has a job. 3 months of crap play.. Getting worse not better.

Theres a problem in the room. These guys are tight tho so its quite obviously hockey related. Could be you have a large group who have tuned Maurice out after almost 5 years. Could be related to the refusal to break up 55 and 26 regardless of how awful they have played. My best guess based on their effort level and other underlying issues is that Maurice has lost the room. Just screams coach who has lost them.. Comparing it to Claude Noel.. Jets have been worse for longer with more talent. Not good. The other possibility is Wheeler has lost the room as Captain as this year he plays the excuse game lots and never EVER puts any blame on himself. Trouba is an interesting theory.. It could be him not wanting to be here is playing a role.. Not sure how much of one tho, but.. If he doesn't want to be here then why is Maurice giving him PP1 time when hes said numerous times only guys who want to be here will get minutes. PP has been brutal.. Put Buff back on the top unit.

Colorado adjusted after the 1st. Maurice didnt. Connor Scheif Wheeler weren't good but played over 24 minutes... Ehlers played 12 and his line with Hayes and Perreault was our best. Coaching is a huge issue.

Wheeler and Connor made dumb ones 2 in regulation after Laine hit the crossbar. Nobody would shoot.. Grubauer was def out of position

Regardless... This team plays 1 period very good but then sleep for 2. Closed door meetings can't fix that. Jets gonna be 3rd in central. Lose to St Louis in 5 or 6.

Players only 25 minute closed door meeting after game 80 is so very concerning. There is a divide in the room... Its real. Likely due to the refusal to break up 55 and 26 or the lack of consequences for struggling Vets. Young guys eat **** when they **** up.. Vets? Back out next shift with no consequences ever. Must get tiring cuz seems to me the young guys tend to bring it mors often than our Vets do.

Its pretty obvious scheif and wheeler run the team and maurice lets them.. This is a huge problem. If ppl dont see it.. I dunno.. Considering all facts the only possible conclusion is they run the team and do as they please because 1. Maurice wont discipline them or 2. Break them up. Awful defensively yet on the PK and out with 1 minute left in games leading by 1.. Same ice time every game regardless of how they are playing. Im betting the other players have had enough.

Its a problem this year tho. Last year Scheif and Wheeler brought it every game in the o zone and D zone.. Last year was last year tho.. This is a different season. Last years Jets destroy this years 4 straight.. Im having a hard time believing they are just waiting for the playoffs to start..
