It’s not just O’Shea. That much is obvious. It’s Walters signing Alexander and Thomas and neufeld and Wilson and name a washed up vet. Sure Osh can give his opinion but Kyle don’t need to listen. Walters been quiet. We are 0 and 4. At what point does he speak up and force those tough decisions to be made. The gm brings in the players. It’s then up to the coaches to use them. Walters could have said no to Alexander Wilson Thomas etc but he didn’t. You don’t think they know Osh has a soft spot for vets? You don’t think they know roster management is an issue and has been? So why even give Osh the chance. Tells me they don’t think the vets in this case are the problem they let Damian Jackson go but currently we have 4 or 5 Jackson’s wasting roster spots. Lucky DJ wasn’t a vet, hmm although marines so suppose he was a vet but cfl vet? Nope. Who did they let go. Hardrick and rose? Bailey? 3 guys really from the veteran starter category? That’s not enough. Was gray a veteran? I suppose but not in the rose Bailey hardrick tier.

I think it’s reasonable to expect a small market to win a cup. I just think it’s hard to get the players here unless we are really really bad for a few years and get several top 5 picks. This team has had one top 5 pick and that was 2nd overall laine. We won the lottery and moved up from 9th or 7th to 2nd. He’s done a good job honestly. Compare us to Edmonton who got mcdavid rnh and several others with 1st overall picks. But then u look at buffalo who haven’t made the playoffs since the jets returned pretty much. In order to win the cup u need to make the playoffs first. Unfortunately when we do, we don’t seem to have that extra gear and they play a way that is the opposite of what got them there. It’s mental strength and I think our team lacks it. I’ll put it this way. If it was us vs Florida in the finals, we prob no show game 4.

It’s July 2. I never expect the jets to be active in free agency. They never are because free agency is a day where players can pick where they want to play. We aren’t Florida or Washington state with no taxes. We aren’t Nashville which is the home to country music. We aren’t a free agent destination and never will be. You can’t force guys to sign here and you certainly can’t overpay guys to come here. I don’t know why ppl think a new gm will all of a sudden make Winnipeg some free agent attraction.

Problem with trading Zach to a team, Zach sucks in the playoffs. His numbers are terrible. I’m sure every team knows this also.

Hopefully Zach just retires. It’s actually sad seeing him like this. Same with bighill and Alexander. Once great players who were impact players all declining rapidly at the exact same time. They aren’t the only ones either. Neufeld is done also. Kolo never great but he’s been awful. Jake Thomas getting reps like he’s prime Doug brown. It’s just really sad. I think there’s a point where Walters and Wade will have to step in and make the easy decisions that O’Shea couldn’t make. I wonder if he’s given an ultimatum like either a vet or 2 go or you go if he decides to go instead. I dunno. I feel O’Shea doesn’t believe the vets are the problem the first step in fixing any problem Is admitting there is a problem. Bombers aren’t there yet. They not at that point. They don’t think there are problems. Until they admit there is, nothing changes.

Jets weren’t interested in retaining Dillon regardless of what rumors say. Monahan is slow. I don’t think either are a big loss.

Over reacting is fun but. Without Monahan: 30-12-5 (0.691 points %) With Monahan: 22-12-1 (0.643 points %) it’s not as big of a loss as people think.

Zach threw for 55 yards for gods sake. We weren’t winning with him and probably won’t. Guy is a major part of the offensive struggles this year. Major part. Maybe even the number 1 reason. dude is staring down receivers. Holding the ball to long. Throwing in to double coverage. Throwing picks right to the other team. And not throwing TDs. Our only passing TD in 4 games was our backup who hadn’t thrown a pass since pre season A.

I dunno. I think ppl I have spoken to who are just casuals. They know my bucket hat is a bombers hat lol. They want to see them get younger. Everyone I talk to say they look old and slow. Stamkos is washed up. Jets need to rebuild with youth. It’s the only way. Nobody will sign here ever. Or move them to Houston already because honestly at this point it’s just a matter of time.
