Obvious bias between the writers shows through. Who is Jamie Nye trying to fool, saying Rod Williams is an all-star corner.
-
On reputation alone i'm surprised there's no love for January. I mean I agree he's about as mediocre as they come but that hasn't stopped him from a few all star selections in the past.
Division all-star though, not league.

I'd say you show a stacked box, and then have the option to fall back into zone coverage.
I like a zone blitz too.

I will echo the prior sentiments about Gibson. I like him, other than the fact that he is a Buckeye.
The Argos have done a fantastic job continuing to re-build their defensive line over the past couple of years. Okpalaugo is a stud, who will probably be an off-season cut as per team NFL policy.

Was that posted by a Rider fan who hacked the account?
Which block, the one that Rider fans posted pictures of where the Bomber gets the shoulder?
It is a Rider fan on that account. No ties to the league. Pushes their own agenda.

Those critical of this move should ask themselves, what does Winnipeg do if Willy goes down for the remainder if the season?
Start Brohm or Marve ?
Personally I think this is a lazy move by Ottawa (O'Brien and Carder could use some reps, you know to actually develop). One of my only issues with the CFL for years has been how some players only stick around due to their experience within the league.
Welcome to professional football. The NFL is littered with experienced guys who keep finding work.

I was going to make a joke, but this story just makes me sad inside.

Duane Forde misses the obvious incomplete pass. Yay

I can't remember when during the game when this happened but it was 2nd 3 and Willy attempted a 30 yarder that once again our receiver gave up on. The camera then panned to Osh and he looked like he didn't like the play call. He seemed pissed off. At the time we were trailing and the offence was struggling to get first downs. To me we had success at the beginning of the game with the short passing game but then went away from it. Bellefeuile seems to script out the entire game but isn't willing to deviate from it based on either the score or what the defence is showing.
About 4 minutes left in the half. Grigsby had yet to touch the ball on 2nd down and wouldn't until the second half.
We had a really nice mix of run and pass in the first half and for most of this game... I don't mind the 2nd and 3 call at all.
The only missed call in this game was time management just before the half and not trying to get a mid-range pass to get us into field goal position. The George sack was a coverage sack because I think we were looking deep and not 8-10 yards.
I wouldn't say nice. 6 carries on first down for 12 yards. It was predictable. Bellefeuille adjusted in the second half, working in playaction on first down and running on second down.

Post game inteview, O'Shea was more upset about his decision to give up the 2 pt. safety in the first half than his decision to kick the F.G. He put the game in the hands of the D. to stop the Riders and they couldn't do it. As Doug Brown said if they would have played a conventional balanced front 7 against the run they would have had a better chance of stopping them but with Etch he never plays it straight even when the D he's running is ineffective.
Etch's scheme gives a chance to win every game. We have the talent in the secondary and on the d line but our lb corps is lacking. This is still a rebuilding year, as much as everyone doesnt want to hear that. Shalom
Secondary is good, but we could use another Nose Tackle and a dominant DE. We also need to keep Kromah in with Wild at WLB. Etch is to stubborn to admit his D doesn't work and will keep going like this untill he gets fired
Good luck. With Etch as DC, that's never going to happen.

Signed to the Ottawa Redblacks practice roster.

Is it possible that you could tire out a guy like Chick if you went after him instead of trying to get away from him? Run at him head on, on slants, screens, short dumps in front of him with motion, in behind him, etc. Basically get him running all over the field. Make him work hard every play. It might have a positive effect later in the game.
Dumb idea?
Cut him off at the knees.

They look like something you would buy at Walmart

Henoc Muamba has made the Colts roster.

The decision to punt was a lack of confidence in the offence, which stems from the fact that their longest play was 28 yards and came in the 4th quarter. More confidence in the defence to make a stop and get it back, or get a big return from Smith.

Looks like Inman is going to stick around in San Diego.
Was probably going to make it at a ST guy anyways, but after they cut Vincent Brown, a chance he will see more offensive reps now.
-
Nothing wrong with Rick Campbell not wanting to gamble on 3rd and 20. He played it right. They got a quick stop, the ball, and had they been able to gain one yard, or even got the face mask call, may get 6 and the onside kick chance.

Thigpen is a receiver. Could probably use him at RB too, but he makes more plays at WR.
Pretty sure he was used as an RB by Bellefuile - exactly the same way he uses Grigsby.
He began in Hamilton as a RB, but was moved to slotback.

Injured throughout most of the pre-season, probably didn't help his case.

I'm surprised the thread title wasn't "Yawn"

Biased would be saying that you're surprised EJ Kuale isn't getting more attention.
As far as safety though, one spot to pick. Tough. Josh Bell in Calgary deserves some attention too.
