  1. @PentonKirk: #Argos have signed former #Bombers receiver Aaron Kelly, former #BCLions safety Matt McGarva and DB Brandon Underwood. #CFL
  2. @PentonKirk: He attended their mini-camp, and now I'm hearing the #Alouettes have signed DB Jonathan Hefney. #Bombers #CFL
  3. @PentonKirk: Everyone reported to #Bombers camp, and no one failed their physical. They're off to a rocking start.
  4. I knew what you were talking about...I've seen each Seinfeld episode like 100 times.
  5. The summer of crap. I like it!
  6. I think he's referring to the "Predict your starting lineup" thread.
  7. I keep reading Rempel is the best long snapper in the league. What makes him the "best"? Least number of bad snaps?
  8. I'd hope they keep Cronk around just in case. We gave up a lot of points last year on long snapping errors once Wild got injured. They can just keep his agents number too. There are a lot of guys around who can long snap. The Bombers made a choice last season to not use a roster spot on a guy who exclusively long snaps. They don't need to pay a long snapper to not play. True, but then someone else can pick him up. Long snapping is just such an important position that it'd be nice to have a little insurance. But I definetely hear you.

  10. I was a little concerned with only having Cronk at long snapper, but this takes care of that. I'd say this officially spells the end of Fitzgerald.
  11. Blue Bombers ink Rempel & Willie WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announce the additions of veteran National long snapper/receiver Chad Rempel, and International receiver Mike Willie. Rempel (6-3, 225, Saskatchewan, May 23, 1981, in Sherwood Park, AB) has played 125 career CFL games, nine of which came with the Blue Bombers in his rookie season of 2005. Rempel moved on to play seven seasons for Toronto, and one for Hamilton (2008), before spending the 2013 season with the Chicago Bears. He returned to the CFL for the last half of the 2014 season with Saskatchewan. The 2015 season will be Rempel’s 11th in the CFL. Willie (6-2, 220, Arizona State, June 17, 1990, in Compton, CA) played two years at Arizona State, and caught 72 passes for 897 yards and nine touchdowns. He went undrafted in 2012, and was signed as a free agent by San Diego, earning a practice roster spot. He had a minicamp tryout with Baltimore in 2014, before signing in Winnipeg. The club also released the following five players: International defensive back Ryan Steed International defensive back Gabe Lynn International defensive lineman Kheeston Randall International receiver David Gettis International offensive lineman David Mims

  13. @CFL: BREAKING: @edmontonesks ink Chris Jones to a contract extension. Details to follow. #Esks #CFL
  14. Me to... I was extatic that Waud actually fell to us at 11 and thought it was a no Brainer.. and I was optimistic we'd still have a good chance a good receiver would still be available at 15Waud is probably a better prospect than Richards, but Waud doesn't fit in with how the Bombers plan on managing the ratio. Waud is an interior DL, correct? With Westerman signed I don't see us starting two Canadians on the DL. I think we're going to like Richards.
  15. And wasn't his middle name Costanza? Lived in a van down by the river Craphonzo Costanza Crapinga Foley.

  17. I went to the first hour of rookie camp today. A few random observations: Garrett Waggoner was at safety the entire time. He really stood out...he has lots of energy and is very vocal. I see him as eventually a defensive leader on the team, a guy other players want to play for and lifts the performance of everyone around him. Addison Richards and Lavasier Tuinei stood out at the WR spot. Forget about the Richards/Etienne comparison as Richards is a big solid guy. And the hair is as impressive in person! Childs dropped an easy pass in the short passing drills. In the very short time I watched him, he came across as a guy who thinks he's already made the team. Brendan Morgan was at DB. I watched the RBs for a while, as I was particularly interested in seeing Bradley Randle up close, but none of the RBs really stood out to me. Buck was coaching QB handoffs when I was watching them. I noticed there was 6 QBs at practice today. Not sure who the 6th one is. Mims is a massive, massive man. I saw him standing next to Chungh and he made Chungh look small. Mims was playing left tackle today and Chungh was in at left guard (Greaves spot). Quinn Everett and Jace Daniels were taking reps at center. I noticed Buck Pierce was a lot more vocal, compared to last year. Buck was a lot more involved in explaining the offensive concepts, where last year that was entirely Marcel. Looks like another step in Buck's development towards becoming an OC. No sign of Bob Wylie. Paul Charboneau was coaching the OL.
  18. With the Argos still playing at Rogers Centre this year, you'll probably get your wish! lol
  19. Here's the analysis you're looking for: https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/cfl-55-yard-line/cfl-extends-tv-radio-digital-contract-with-tsn-rds-through-2021--a-good-move-231945456.html
  20. @PentonKirk: The #CFL is getting ready to launch a new website as well and modernizing its stats system.
  21. @scratchingpost: TSN also launching Thursday Night Football. #CFL
  22. @PentonKirk: The #CFL has extended its broadcast agreement with TSN and RDS until 2021. Big news for league's financial stability.
  23. And likely no Ricky Ray. Yikes.
  24. @DidierRDS: The #Eskimos first round pick, OL Danny Groulx is not at the team's rookie camp due to a contract dispute. #CFL
  25. Did anyone ever find out how much bank to the CFL this actually translated into?I believe it was close to nothing. Benefit to the CFL was increased exposure.
