  1. The problem I foresee is his increasing brittleness and rehab times. If hope that Dressler has the smarts to retire while he can still walk without pain, and I also hope that he will be suitably honored at a home game. If it wasn't for him, I don't think the Bombers would have made the playoffs last year.
  2. Is you automatically assume that Riders fans are full of BS, you are halfway home.
  3. Good on Matt Nichols! Finally starting to get recognition.
  4. I was there when it happened- it was an ugly break and as soon as it happened, the whole crowd knew he was done.
  5. Zavian looks like the complete package- good hands, reads blocking very, very well, adequate speed and gets open a lot. Good size, too. Now all we need to establish is his smarts and durability.
  6. A gathering of Rogues?
  7. Are you sure the last name begins with an "O"?
  8. Blasphemy to suggest otherwise.
  9. Not fair for the Rider organization to put the Stamps downwind of the Rider locker room.
  10. Well, that ought to raise the average provincial IQ by a couple of points.
  11. Gotta pressure Reilly. He's taken quite a beating so far this year and must be close to shattering in confidence if not body. It looks like the combination of Leggett and Santos-Knox might be enough on the outside to contain Reilly. Go get him.
  12. I would think that a tenured position at a sewage effluent plant would be a better fit and not much of a change from his current position and personality.
  13. I'm not su I'm not sure that will be enough. To me, the offense looks like it is short one receiver of the ability Dressler had last year, and our linebacking is sub-par, although Santos-Knox has played well in the past game or two. Its difficult to pick out a weakness in Calgary's lineup.
  14. If the Riders are not 6 and 7, I apologize. Edit: Checked the standings and you are correct. They still suck, though.
  15. I have to rate the Bombers second to the Stamps but not by much. Somehow Mitchell is just not his old self but the rest of the Stamps team makes up for it. However, if the Bombers could replace Hurl with a better option, say, a speed bump sign, I would give the edge to the Big Blue.
  16. Fixed that for you.
  17. Looked like shoulder to helmet.
  18. The Riders have been fortunate so far, but I'm still expecting them to crumble.
  19. If for no other reason, that player is still in the league, and if he wins the Cup, he will be deified there.
  20. The lesser of evils is to cheer for the Stamps. And I hope its a rout.
  21. I agree in general, but we do not know if Thorpe's ego was bigger than his commitment to the team's success. If it was only a matter of money, I'm sure that could have been worked out somehow.
  22. For my money, Collaros would be a much better choice.
  23. Anyone put money on the Lions for this game? If so, you have my sympathies. The Lions just might be contenders for the Zach Collaros lottery and they have enough spare parts to make for an attractive deal with the TiCats.
  24. I'm really hoping that Wolitarski will find his way onto the starting lineup at Lankford's expense. Lankford has had his moments but not enough (IMO) to make him irreplaceable and that would be a way to get another Import onto the roster.
