From 3downnation: \ The market for the CFL’s top remaining free agent might be getting even slimmer. TSN’s Farhan Lalji appeared on TSN1040 on Wednesday and it seems the Lions might be losing interest in Derel Walker. According to Lalji, the Lions are “95 percent out” on Walker — one of the best receivers in the CFL over the last number of years. Of course, things could change down the road, but for the time being, the Lions appear to be content with who they have.

Agreed. The Riders were the beneficiaries of a lot of happenstances last year, and are not likely to repeat such again. They have not improved one iota in the off-season and their resigning of Josiah St.John smacks of desperation.

And in three months the league will be the subject of trivia questions.

Along this same line of thinking, I came up with a way to reduce MPI claim payouts by 90%. You take the airbag out of the center of the steering wheel and put in a 12 gauge shotgun shell and actuator connected to impact sensors on the bumpers. Careless drivers would be instantly penalized and no lengthy (and expensive) hospital stay and rehab. Would make everyone much more careful drivers.

But it would make for great TV ratings.

I wouldn't write the Redblacks off just yet. No one here expected them to do as well as they did in their first year, and Desjardins was responsible for that. Doesn't look good so far, but its gonna come down to their quarterbacking, I think.
