Just the fact that Brohm is still here is the problem... he should have been cut long time ago, at least Michael Bishop could complete a pass
Brohm is 30 and has not put together one drive this season. If his mind is broken, well, thats life...
Epic fail by Walters and crew I have to say.
And at least Bishop was "wildly" entertaining! for good or bad. Anyone remember when he ran into his own OL and knocked himself out? that was awesome! He also made some mind blowing throws! That guy sure could rifle that ball

If ever there is to be a moment when Brohm's entire football career flashes before his eyes, it had better be this Sunday when he runs onto the field to start the last game of his professional career.
Brohm is done. I bet he craps the bed in Regina - and NIchols comes in and wins the game (or gets us close to a win and then wins in the Banjo Bowl). At that point - Brohm will be gone - and will never be seen in pro football again. Good riddance.
OF course, a much more likely scenario is Brohm stinks, Nichols goes in, and gets pulverized by Chick, his bad leg is wrecked again and he's out for the year, and we're back stuck with Brohm.
That's a very real possibility.

Please don't get insulting by comparing me to that douchebag. I want this team to win. Nate doesn't because he's a moron. I admit I'm becoming very dissatisfied with this entire regime. I don't think we're much better or further ahead than we were in 2013 & I'm not happy about it as you can probably tell. O'Shea seems as lost as Burke was trying to find the answers but he just handles the situation talking to the media differently.
Hey if you get offended being compared to Nasty Nate don't offend O'Shea comparing him to Burke. He is a way better coach than Burke could ever hope to be.
I don't see the evidence that O'Shea is better than Burke. They were both good coordinators with bad head coaching records. Other than style, what's the difference?
I don't see the players quitting on O'Shea. They gave up on Burke entirely. Yeah the team right now has a hard time rebounding from a couple poor plays, but it's different than a team that just packs it in entirely. I mean just looking at that Calgary game, the defense fought tooth and nail in the first half to try and give the offense all the chances they needed to win but the execution simply wasn't there on offence. With Burke the team visibly checked out about 5 minutes into a game.
4 blow outs says otherwise

Record wise and lame BS excuses wise, he's right there with him.

Well, I've got my tix, and I'm coming for the party. If the Bombers are in it, great...if not, gonna be a great time anyhow!
The only Grey Cup I've had the fortune of attending live was 09 in Calgary... and it was fantastic even without the 13th man ending. Just a totally different feeling to the game and it was well worth it. Anyone missing it because the home team isn't there is just nuts if you ask me.
The ending of that game was oh so great! I loved being surrounded by crying Rider fans. As those idiots were all celebrating, I was yelling "too many men! Too many men!"
HAHAHAHAHA. Made that whole trip very worth while. We even passed a bus full of Rider fans on the way home the next day and put the front page of the Calgary Herald in our car window for all the rider fans to see as we blared the horn on the way by!!
The ******* gappers were annoying the entire day leading up to the game, but you could literally hear every single one of their hearts breaking when the ref called the penalty. Even better was the one lone Als fan a few rows behind me losing his mind at the win. The Bombers need to hurry up and win a Grey Cup because I want to be that happy about a win.
Nice. Our group was actually singing every French word associated with football we knew...Touche! Touche! Premier Este (or something like that. means first down)

So, we lost the NHL outdoor game & now Grey Cup tix aren't selling. How much of this falls on Wade Miller?
I real big chunk of it. He's the president, falls on him.

Good pick up. hopefully he'll help us.

Not a doctor but... looking at what happened to him near the end of the hamilton game, I would suspect it's a back or chest injury... guy was having a hard time getting back up lots of times.. that hamitlon D, eventho someone thought they gave up at half, certainly were laying the boom late in the game.
This is going to be a factor in the game for sure. We're kinda beat up right now. And to only have the 1 practise. I think we're in for a long night at IGF. At least it's a nice day. Muggy, but should be a nice night. I wonder what the ticket count is at. Probably less than 26k. Oh well, better chance for us that are there to win the 50/50

I don't get Gordon over Veltung or to be honest taking Collins off for Turner.
The return of Peach/Turner seems to be the 2015 version of Kuale. MOS's blind loyalty is going to get him fired.
Naw. Now that Willy's gone no one expects us to win and our playoff chances are nil. The pressure is off MOS now and he can safely bring us in at a dismal 3-15, 4-14, whatever.
if we finish 3-15 or 4-14 there is no way Coach Oshea is back. Just the way this organization does things...every two years...blow it all up...brutal really.

Unprepared? An int off a tipped ball. A blocked punt and a special teams gaffe? How is that unprepared. It's just crappy play really. Seriously love to know how it's unprepared to play when 3 of those mistakes were all just football plays. Maybe the kickoff one but that's more bad luck than being unprepared.
O mostly agree with you, but you have to get to that ball on the kick off. No excuse there really.

Every Bomber fan has got to be having a great long weekend now. Enjoy the weekend everyone

I have a little optimism for tonight, but if Willy goes down...we should all close our eyes to avoid the horror of Brohm

Whats the sudden man-love for Lapo as an HC ? He had one shot at it and looked way in over his head. What's changed ?
Not it love with LaPo, but always thought he took a lot more heat than deserved for the Bombers' failures. He inherited an absolute mess from Mike Kelly, who ran both Doug Berry and Brendan Taman out of town and then dismantled the team and its reputation with his antics. Has a tough first year with a record number of close losses, and has the wherewithal to recognize his biggest failing as a coach, which is self-admitted micromanagement. Improves in that area next year, and really thanks to the fact that Buck Pierce actually stayed healthy gets to the Grey Cup. Then is forced to start 4 in a row on the road and loses his QB again, and is starting to claw back at 2-6 when he gets blind-sided by Mack. Everyone who blamed LaPo rejoices for about a week until the next game, when 52-0 in Saskatchewan highlights that the problem wasn't the coach, it was his boss and how the team was (so very poorly) built. But too many on the boards had invested their credibility in praising mighty Joe in the wake of Mike Kelly's poor showing, so they bought into the "LaPo as incompetent" theory and began repeating it ad nauseum to deflect from their misguided assessment of Joe Mack's uselessness.
I liked Lapo but man was he a chicken-****. I still remember the Lions game that got him fired. I was sitting a few rows behind the Bomber bench. Elliott kept coming off the field and slamming his helmet down because he was frustrated at the play calling as Lapo kept calling draw plays on second down in the red zone to ensure that we got a field goal, instead of going for the TD. And we lost by one point. No killer instinct.
His pregame speeches put half the team to sleep as well. Probably why we were such brutally slow starters.

Awesome. Good job Dom. Ces Bon!

I'm hoping for Collins to get into a game. DL has been pretty weak so far.

The number of hot starts turning to crappy falls we've had recently, I'm more than happy to sit and wait for a team to play .500 ball as it grows together and starts to click around Labour Day. People really gotta chill. This site sucks after a loss....
After watching a bit of the hammy game and most of last night I have to agree with you... but it is only week 2... it literally takes half a season before we get a true grasp on every team in the CFLI said it before the season started and I said it after they just beat Hamilton. I don't think Calgary is as good as everyone thinks this year. They lost a lot of good players in the off season. That being said I don't think our Blue are that much improved either
Are fans supposed to be happy after a blowout loss at home? Even when this loss is just all more of the same from this team? Just saying...this really is justified though. I really wish it wasn't.
-
It's ok to lose games. But it's not ok to get blown out at home, Repeatedly. This team has gotten destroyed at IGF way too many times now...yuck...the way the team just deflated as soon as Willy went down was pathetic. That's gota get put on Oshea's shoulders. We should expect more and deserve more.
-
Gona be a tough task to keep Collaros down. hope he doesn't shred us like the 1st half of preseason...
-
That number of season tickets is pretty average for us though. The organization really blew it by sucking so terribly in 2013 during the 1st year of IGF. They had 24k that yr. Big drop due to that pitiful team. Got killed at home like 4-5 times...
-
Wonder if we won't see something like this by week 4...
Randle-Adams-Leggett-Johnson-Bucknor
Washington-Bass-Burnett
Fraser-Thomas-Turner-Westerman
I mean I want to cheer for Peach but he was getting tossed around by Fulton; maybe Anderson needs a few games to get up to speed...
Don't need more games to say that Hurl is not a starting MLB... maybe WIL - but our ratio is good
I agree with your secondary changes but on DL and LB nope.
Especially Thomas. He's no starter.
-
Yep I saw it. Too bad they didn't show the other Bomber TDs.
Or any of the nice plays by Cotton
Brohm to start LDC?
