  1. I heard they were looking at putting a 30% tax on toothbrushes and toothpaste province wide but figured it would only raise about seven bucks annually. Looks like they are now thinking of introducing a 5 cent flat fee for kissing your cousin. With this they may have the entire stadium paid off by Thanksgiving.
  2. The strike vote will tell exactly where the players are. Don't be surprised to see a high 80's low 90's.
  3. Got it, the lines were kind of blured. But league minimum in the CFL is a joke. For a Pro League. Now I guess it depends if it is or not? Pros vs Shmoes.
  4. It's not the minors. At least they did not sell it to TSN that way during their contract negotiations. I think.
  5. The CFL is the minors?Well I guess they are having a hard time shedding the "Bush League" title. Time to make a move into the pros or swim with the shmoes.
  6. Exactly, to put it on the line like they do training year round to compete at such a high level. They should be compensated fairly for what they do. New stadiums all over the league, great revenue streams. Run it properly and every team should make some real good coin. Even with paying people what they deserve.
  7. But, most of the guys fans care about are in the upper class of CFL players. For example, if a couple import QB's break from the PA, that could have more influence than 150 other imports striking.Break from the PA and what? Stop playing in the CFL I guess. Anyway the fans don't vote on contracts the players do. Most would be in favour of a base increase. Break from the PA and try to rally players to oust the PA leadership, much like a group in the NHLPA did in the spring of 2005.I'm in favour of increases across the board, but to have the minimum salary hit 6 figures by the end of the decade would be a little bit out there. TSN money isn't guaranteed in perpetuity, and it's almost impossible to negotiate something like a minimum salary down. The best solution for the minimum salary would be to make it a % of the SMS ceiling IMO, not a specific number. Six players making big coin are not going to rally hundreds of lower paid players wanting a raise. And they already ousted a person and got their man. 100k is not unreasonable IMO and if the league struggles they can deal with it then. The players have shown in the past they are willing to move to save the league.Lol 100k is not unreasonable?? Easy to say that when you have no part in actually running a franchise. What exactly are you basing your numbers on? Just sounding nice? Basing it making a living which most players are as well. 60k is nothing these days so 100 is not out of the ballpark for a pro athlete in years to come.

  10. How many higher paid players per team of the 46ish? More lower end so that is where the votes are. At any rate the players need to walk. Go CFLPA Go!
  11. The new regime is getting rid of all the jokes. Material is going to get pretty thin for the griller if this keeps up.
  12. How come Kevinn Glen is not in the picture??????
  13. Probably don't need to worry about a boat the lakes will still have ice. Fishing from shore will be the only way unless we get some crazy hot weather. You have a designated driver so suggest you do some bar hopping and get hammered out of your mind.
  14. I would eat a hotdog IN the wiener factory. Especially the European one. Is it in France?
  15. Well I thought now that Thommy had some free time......
  16. Drink milk or not I don't care. I just don't like it so I don't. But to say we need it or even that it is important to us is just wrong IMO. Water, and lots of it is all we need to drink. As far as our food goes it all sucks and we all do horrible things to our bodies. The good news is modern medicine lets us get away with it for the most part. A pill for everything baby!
  17. That dog in Strange Brew drank a lot of beer. His name was Shithead iirc. And he could fly!!!
  18. That was my face after almost every social back in the day. Ummmm. So, I guess I am not that tough....? Oh boy.
  19. Pets and farm animals are being fed milk by humans. In their natural habitat they would drink water when mature, along with their proper diet. Like Arnie once said, milk is for babies, I drink beer...
  20. The only adult mammal that drinks milk are humans. Water works well for others. Of course their diets are proper.
  21. Last time I was pulled over the cop said I smelled like pickled eggs. I don't smoke them, or eat them for that matter. Strange.
  22. Anyone who thinks today's weed does not impair your ability to drive is on drugs.
