  1. classic yup...was the big guy
  2. Regardless of who we put across from WJ this yr, if Osh continues the joke being Jackson on the roster...effectively eliminating the chance of any impact DE to get on the roster, then we will see more of the same, and games where our starters burn out, and have to take some plays off....Rotating in guys like A Bennett does nothing, and same with Thomas in the middle. If not thru free agency...the draft, or the use of another Canadian already on the roster to assume the role of blocking back for 6 to 9 reps a game and zero threat to get the ball, let alone doing anything with it....that a viable replacement is found...then thats a fail on so many levels. If you wanna go that route sign a big bruising "real" full back type straight outta the NCAA....Jackson at his age now, with his experience offers us absolutely nothing other than a cool story...he was horrible and out matched on defence when he got reps in garbage time, and his role on offence could be filled by literally anyone
  3. same well here....he had 2 studs ahead of him B.C was a clusterfuck....Hammer makes odd personell decisions even more so than we do He would be great here in rotation, and allows us to remove a useless canadian off the roster as well...win win
  4. and may just happen not sure why you wouldnt be,,,,he flourished in this environment, and no reason to think he wouldn't again....A more than capable Canadian who can actually contribute in big ways in rotation, heavy rotation....Guys like Thomas...Schmeckle...Bennett...Briggs....cannot
  5. we were pretty fortunate to get it done in 2021 as well when u think about it
  6. I'd take Oullette for 170k over BO if he asking for more...thats a easy decision...he's kill it behind our line and penchant to run
  7. 3 yrs ago....thats a long time in football yrs...
  8. even in the last games he played he looked rather rotund
  9. he is effectively retired.....tho not official...he's done
  10. even then,,it shouldnt be....if there was a guy to hand a job to...Its Eli Imagine having Desjarlais...Eli and Neuf between the tackles??...thats a nasty assed group teams would hate to line up against....Dobson fro Gray will give us much the same.... No coaching staff worth spit looks at or uses PFF as any type of evaluation tool...trust me there
  11. You nailed it on your comments....what/why osh seems to have this love for guys who aren't necessarily the best option baffles the mind...Kolo was by far the worst guy we had, and like you mentioned...for someone who knows what they are actually watching, and can pick up easily what they are doing...it's very obvious to see....just a head scratcher if he is again...handed the role....It better be an outright competition...in multiple positions this year as we have seen in last 2 yrs that when the chips need to be placed all in during the last hand...we flopped bad...and a lot was due to personell...and odd coaching decisions.. Even as depth he is a poor choice as your 6th...cant kick outside, and as a guard he's geteaten up and shat out...over and over and a good likelyhood he would be the guy at faukt for ZC really getting pummeled...thelast yr and a bit ZC has taken a pummeling and it can be directly linked to the center, even tho the average fan won't see it Getting worried already that we are gonna bring back way too many guys we shouldn't
  12. Not understanding this move...weakest of the bunch, and why block younger guys with a 31 yr old, unless they are saving bucks and are moving on from Gray, and putting ELI there with Dobson as the 6th?...Head scratcher as Eli is a better center than Guard, as well as better than Kolo....Or is this an Osh pining to his GM to lock up his fav's?...If Thomas is next...followed by Briggs...I gonna puke
  13. No way one team could do that, and not upset their apple cart and bastardize their line-up That being said, if we were to lose those 3....trotting out at worst Bryant, Dobson, Eli, Neuf and Richmond as game one starters actually gives us likely an overall better....more nasty O-line than last yr, and we can sign in free agency another guy if we dont draft one to replace Kolo as the 6TH who is probably better and more versatile....so not too concerned there...That being said, not worried about Hardrick getting poached, and he's in no way shape or form considering retirement either Hardrick and Gray won't be requiring huge boosts anyway to their salaries at this point....and any offer better than what our fair value would be isn't likely that big a gap regardless
  14. It's more they don't allocate the time or resources to explore it. If they eliminated one free agency camp, and actually attended an event, where some of the top Aged out Juco....Guys who dont meet DIV I thru III requirements, and have nowhere to display talent....even some the guys who have played nothing but semi pro or senior football right outta highschool, they would come away with a buttload of names, or possible camp invites...Why do you think our former guy Rig's was so successful...he, or he would send an associate to things like this...and not so much knowing them on a personal level....but it helps, but more for training them for combines/tryouts as well as getting some legit tryout looks
  15. Yup....they need a younger visionary type...who's hip to what's going on in the world now Have an asst commish who is an older CFL vet to maintain and guide with culture and history to the youngin
  16. With Schoen it's likely he knows his deal here...may "look" at others to see...and see if we have wiggle room...or if gap is worth it...I sure Lawlr and others have informed him well The range for Schoen is pretty much set...save a buck or 2 here...so expect him back BO....not sure there...I think he believes the RB spot deserves a huge windfall....and it won't happen....well not here
  17. Cfl has poor forward thinking and at times focuses on the wrong things
  18. Damn that Cameron....damn him all to hell...or Sask hahha
  19. Would def make sense to be a joint US/Can kid thing who have aged out of school, and former draft picks who got cut in camp, but given a avenue to develop, and still have eyes on them could actually in a yr or 2 make an active roster
  20. Walker on a team friendly deal sure...but he needs to actually earn his spot..and be actually challenged...or rephrase that....allow guys a legit chance FOX is the better DT...and if he was gifted a spot like Walker....we'd be feeling pretty good about one the imort DT spots
  21. Definitely....even a league sponsored development roster...guys training ...playing mock games...it's definitely something that would make sense and get oodles of talent infused into the league A lot of these young men are victim of circumstances and poverty and didn't have the ways and means to go to school...or get documents to travel...not necessarily criminal issues...or guys who never completed their secondary education so couldn't attend big time schools even tho had more than enough talent
  22. So many JUCO guys....who are behind 8 ball for both NFL and CFL opps.....we work with tons in Cali, to get them pro day opps....get contacts for them for Div II....and Div III schools, even interest in Europe....I see guys all time we work with who could be all-stars up here....sadly many don't have paperwork in order to get up here, or to Europe....moreso from coming from rough back grounds, or poor back grounds....or just from not being known since they aged out of highschool and then didnt get an opp anywhere. When Rig's was here we had exchanged names of guys....some guys were seriously looked at...and ended up here in the CFL in some instances...Our current regime tho since he left back for B.C seems to be dropping ball on that super deep pool
  23. Blue Italic's...guys we should focus on.....Black bold....If price is right....and prove they still got it......rest....a nice parting gift....I exclude BO in the thought he is gonna have too high a price....I guess I will include him as a if price is right
  24. yeah...But was maybe Stanback an overpay....and the market got re-set last yr, and 170k is now the gold standard for a top back...I realistically dont expect an offer north of 180k now. The pay structure is shifting and I don't think in the RB's favor...especially if your scouting staff knows what to look for when recruiting a fresh import....there are oodles out there, that you could reload with every few yrs on entry level deals...that could be lights out. The notion that having a stud Canadian and paying high top dollar to him, cause he is Canadian is a flawed plan...especially if your roster is configured poorly...somewhat Like ours was that you have no viable Canadian to back him up...and if you do, he's being paid well above league minimum too....and is likely a severe drop off. Also with BO's style of running...where he takes a beating game in and game out is not a sustainable plan for success...It's just not. Love him, for all he gives, and being local, but once, or if his cost becomes too much, the smart move is to offer what doesn't upset our SMS structure, and let him see what else he can get.....but stand pat on a hard offer, and if he chooses to leave over 10..15...25k....c'est la vie
  25. Sounds like Stronson.....hahahaha
