  1. leads a lot to be considered and interpreted then...seeing as the dead ball line is the back of the end zone then any player....lets say an o-lineman, or a set back blocker...who in protection pounds or pancakes a guy coming off the edge wide and is headed back to say the qb....or a delayed hand-off and you take him out would be called multiple times a game...if not per quarter....it's a huge judgement call, and a rue that needs more clarity and situational interpretation
  2. Main new rule they added a few years ago is a guy down the field coming back to line of scrimmage to take a guy out who is pursuing the ball carrier headed up the field....before it was okay...not now....Thats where I thought the Bailey one was pretty marginal and kind of piddly...he never really was coming back from well past the line of scrimmage, and was pretty much still in the box...almost like a tackle or end sealing off the edge....good lesson learned tho for a game where it matters and next time just be less efficient
  3. yeah...I stick to my thought if Maier can get it together and gain some confidence and actually push the ball down the field then I see them as the team to challenge us. Our roster as well is starting to shape up....once we get healthy, and hopefully stay healthy, we will be sitting pretty good. With Exume now added, and the return of Miller and Hansen to the ST we will be infinitely better...Lawler added to the offence is a no brainer...and will be scary, and If Wilson gets back to 2021 form quickly...Jeffcoat stays out of tub and Haba and Lawson get more reps and experience....we be pretty tough....and thats still with figuring out to do with DB's when Rose, Parker and Lawrence are healthy....Cause as it is if Swarmay keeps getting better, and used to the CFL game,...and Houston plays like we seen, we will have a lot of options to play with when we also have Holm and Muhamed...and I bet Ford too at some point
  4. yeah....I don't think it was that Ceresna play....and he didnt seem affected in the least afterwards as game went on....I blew mine apart 2 x...well all 3 main ligaments the first and on the second just the ACL and you couldnt be playing unless you were braced up...and even then a partial tear may allow u to play with a brace...many have but a complete tear...which usually as miniscus damage with it....no way no how
  5. teams take pot shots at our guys anyway...with actual intent to hurt...Bailey there....basically from a stand still was just making a legit clean block....in my opinion...he didnt come racing back to the L.O.S or come from 15 yards across the field
  6. it gives us some different looks and def gets the defence on its heals....with our receivers and the threat of 2 or 3 guys who could lug the rock....could spell some trouble
  7. meh....good on Bailey...sends the message to teams that they need to keep head on a swivel and can't 100% focus on ball carrier cause they could get popped....will have lingering effects and be talked about as a point in their team discussions when breaking down film on us....advantageous for sure....I like how he rocked that Dequay goof too on the one BO run where he didnt go out of bounds and ran over the db
  8. so whats the purpose of the Designated National...I see we have WOLI and BOLO as that....
  9. well to be honest we weren't even really targeting him....and seem to wanna be a more ground and pound team for now....so makes sense.....I sure he will have some importance for us this yr though
  10. Assume Gauthier is out for tommorrow as Beeksma will be rostered
  11. well we do lead the league in knockdowns with 26...next closest team has 14....and of the top 5 players in the league we have 2 guys tied for most in the league at 5 (Lawrence and Holm) and Willie and Nichols are tied for second with 4
  12. interesting with the stats...many of us have moaned about d-line play/personnel/pressure etc yet we are tied for league lead in sacks with 14,
  13. I think it was shown on TSN...also on twitter somewhere.....and yeah....thats a stat one should lean toward in terms of how good a db is covering/breaking up plays
  14. has he had a significant injury tho?...I can't think o one
  15. haha....guess they figure if he was on our game day roster 95% chance he better than anything they have lol
  16. Rourke is gonna sit on a PR for a few yrs...basically as his starter skills erode....an they weren't even refined yet...then be back and look average to decent and you will have people saying it's the NFL hangover....book it
  17. we could maybe see piggy land there now....Not sure what else they have after Arbuckle
  18. Yeah for Oline Yosh just entered his prime yrs really...especially when as mentioned he playing with the same guys for pretty much 4..5 yrs now...Also same with Neuf...he a few yrs older but as a guard he is in same place...right in the thick of his prime yrs....once we got depth here, and didnt have to keep rushing him back early...cause we basically had to...he's been a rock
  19. Bailey in that MTL game was on a mission...he had about 3 really punctuating blocks in that game
  20. could see him slide into coaching here as well, with his other gig well established
  21. They were also anticipating snap count....and at times to me looked early...U saw T.O switch up their cadences...and basically nullified them and caused some penalty issues I'm not overly concerned with our aging guys on the O-line...a good tech sound O-lineman who hasn't had injury issues in career (Bryant never has...Yosh few if any) can play a long time...Biggie is the guy we need to be trying to groom a new guy....he has been fine so far...not a dominating difference maker, but I will let season pan out and see what we look like in Oct....and what he did....he has been playing more out of the box this yr, or at times a pure rusher....so hard to tell where he is at in regards to losing a step....tho when we had turn overs and the defense flipped direction to run blocks...he didnt look like he lost a step in my opinion...still fast for a bigger body
