So far, my preferred opening day lineup is... (nothing shocking)... LSW Perrault-Little-Laine Matthias-Lowry-Armia Petan-Copp-Dano (Tanev/Lipon) Morrissey-Trouba Poolman-Buff Enstrom-Myers (Kulikov/Chiarot) Helle (Mason)

Maurice definitely settling in for another year of a mucker in front on the power play - either Lowry or Copp... Dirty hit by Trouba... Connor could maybe use another year with the Moose... start the year with Connor-Roslovic-Petan and let them all get confidence before Maurice calls them up and gives them four minutes a game ha Really like Buff-Poolman pairing - would love to see Kulikov as our 7th D Dano looks lost Maurice loves Tanev... sigh

Ekakitie still had the best pro-day results of the 'non-NFL' DTs available Not great college stats ... in the Big Ten... I'll take it.

Ekakitie's mark against him was his commitment to football... I'm assuming Walters was comfortable with his work ethic when they chose him... Calling a guy a bust halfway through the first season is ridiculous. Luke and Vaughn have started but only out of desperation, guaranteed if Thomas gets hurt, Ekakitie will be one of our starters. Boateng is the only real surprise from this DL class... and every team passed on him basically

If Connor-Lowry-Armia clicks and becomes a scoring threat, then I'm fine with a grinding bottom line - but the days of a grinding bottom six are just gone... hope we're not stuck with another year of it Hendricks is 36 years old - he should be in the press box and providing leadership in the locker room... We had a very good line - Copp-Petan-Armia that showed great chemistry two years ago and have just never looked at it again I'd like to see this combo... I think Ehlers is exp enough to work with Connor LSW Connor-Little-Ehlers Perrault-Lowry-Matthias Petan-Copp-Armia

Some rumblings that our fourth line may be Hendricks-Copp-Matthias... That would be ugly - another year of a 'gritty' bottom six...

Just trying to think of any other team that has given up their 1st rounder in the supplemental draft...?

Interesting take... I saw no sustained pressure from Connor-Lowry-Armia... and a lot of times where they ended up in the same parts of the ice Dano looked lost to me. Saw De Leo beat a few times. Copp was not great on faceoffs. I don't hate Hendricks - just not sure why we want a 36 year old on a team with a log jam of prospects. He's pretty slow. I'd say that Lemieux is likely a 'chosen one' this year and will make the team no matter how his preseason goes... imho Liked Poolman and Helle's games. No one else stood out at all.

Well I did my period and a half of pre-season hockey. Putrid. Nice to see Minnie completely control the play while short-handed. I hope Maurice comes to his sense and breaks up Connor-Lowry-Armia... but Connor probably sent down to 'season'. Matthias takes his place on 3rd line. Hendricks is playing wing for what reason? Why did we sign him again? No chemistry on any line... but didn't expect any either Winless pre-season...? Would that matter?
