  1. A couple of "tricks" the police are using here. They want to crowd to move but the crowd is not moving fast enough so rather then keep the peace, the police instigate a conflict so they have an excuse to escalate it and forcibly and violently disperse the crowd. Secondly, the POS that is desperate to hit someone with his club, hits a young guy who has done nothing and the cop immediately arrests him. Now, he has leverage. His reports will say the kid assaulted him, resisted arrest etc. And it washes away the fact the cop assaulted the kid with a weapon. In this case, there is video. But thats the fall back leverage. Kid will be charged so that his lawyer can be offered a deal - drop your complaint against our officer and we'll drop the charges against you. And ofcourse, it costs the kid X amount of money when he did nothing wrong (seemingly).
  2. Notice one cop immediately behind bending down to assist the injured man and another cop grabs him and pulls him away. Notice also they immediately grab at least one person and arrest him so they can say this was a skirmish or incident.
  3. I’ve done chargebacks a couple times. Not for airlines though. I hear different credit card companies can be easier or tougher. But they always sided with me. And I’ve used it in arguments with a business too. “Look I’ll just file a dispute with my credit card company and you know they’ll side with me”. Usually works.
  4. I think he really means to create a mob attack force.
  5. I think Barr may be going for an insanity defense.
  6. The problem is, if Trump becomes a drag on them, what options do they have? Being an anti-trump Republican is not likely to get them enough votes to beat a Dem. It will come down to individual areas. If a GOP person is largely popular but Trumps is a drag, then sure, they can torch Trump and try to win. Those would be Democrat longshots either way. But the GOP allowed this to happen. And I think they're beginning to see the future of a party that has to either get pulled all the way to fascism or re-invent itself as the moderate conservative movement. Wasnt it Graham who said before the last election "If we nominate Trump, it will destroy us and we'll deserve it." Yup.
  7. Yeah I tend to agree. He's played it all wrong if he was hoping for a narrow loss in which he could push the narrative of being cheated. The only thing he might have is a lot of racist losers with guns. So things could get very violent. But they'll lose.
  8. I guess he *could* but there is no mechanism for Trump to remain in power after Inauguration day. So it would be a coup d'etat and then we're talking about something absolutely insane. And I still feel enough Generals wouldn't stand for it. Certainly a lot of Congress and most States would not stand for it. Civil War?
  9. If Trump loses, he is no longer President on inauguration day. I have zero doubt that no law enforcement and especially the military, will obey an order from him after that day. One issue that has come up and why the military is trying to distance itself from this is that they swear an oath to uphold the constitution. So when the Commander-in-Chief gives an order that is unconstitutional, it raises issues. The scary time will between a Trump loss in November and Inauguration. Does anyone thing Trump will cooperate with a transition? Will he allow Biden and his team access to the White House and to work on smooth transitions? Will Trump try to initiate wars, provide relief to US enemies? My hope is, knowing most of the GOP actually hates him, if he's delivered a big loss, Congress wont allow him to do anything horrific. I cant imagine the Joint Chiefs standing by if Trump tries to order military strikes out of spite. And certainly Congress wouldnt. It would be a big constitutional crises. Congress always could impeach and remove him but man, they'd have to do it quickly. Also, Pence and the cabinet could remove him too. If Pence values a future, he might have to take charge if the unthinkable happens and a deranged Trump tries to destroy America in those two months.
  10. AEW is wholly owned by Shad Khan, privately held. With Tony as President & CEO. Whereas WCW was owned by a large conglomerate. The interfering is a bit overblown but Russo and Bischoff like to push that narrative to distract from their failings. WCW was still hugely viable as a TV product when it was sold (which was a bit fishy in that the head of programming had interested parties but suddenly cancelled all WCW programming and had known someone in WWE for a long time). Bischoff's huge guaranteed contracts and Russo's awful creative combined to make WCW go drom hugely profitable to hugely in debt in about a year. The higher ups did want to get the money losers off the books but it was pretty small for Time Warner and they ended up carrying the largest contracts anyway. The Khan's dont answer to anyone other then their TV partner TNT. And TNT loves them. And times change, TNT is obviously looser with standards than back in WCW's days in terms of swearing, blood etc. But even without, the bookings is way better and the business plan/operations is way better.
