Some combination of an OL, DL and either a LB or WR with our top 3 picks seems ideal imo.

They need to pick talented players with the potential to start not roster fillers like Bennet or Smeckle or guys who are just going to be STers.

I didn't put Mimbs on the list because he played only 2 years with us, granted he did lead the CFL in rushing for both. Wondered about Washington but wasn't sure, glad people mentioned him. Blink was great but to me its Lewis due to a higher yard per carry and 4 Cup wins..

I didn't see the rationale in Hodge having us take 1 let alone 2 full backs. I also thought based on his mock, why take a fb when you could take Theo Benedet instead since we essentially have a bonus 2nd rounder.

I feel like those are the 5. Lewis, Roberts, Harris, Reaves as the top 4 in some order. For the 5th, I feel you can debate Hanson and James. Am likely missing somebody.

The idea of us taking a lineman in round 1 and a DL in round 2 works for me but I don't get us taking the rb/fb Hodge suggests. If the draft went they way he did I think we'd go OL going to the US as a futures pick in round 2. The ST in round 3 pick and the rational is laughable.

I think Kelly could be a ST ace this season and Murphy likely gives us a few catches but I don't see a huge impact from any of the 2023 draft class if a huge impact is quality starter.

Drafting a guy who was in his mid 20s playing against college kids a few years younger than him was the first sigh Bennett was a poor selection. Not like he was overly dominant either.

A MBB version would be better but I am not sure how the daily articles titled **** Saskatchewan would go over with a national audience.
