The articles that I have read list the Riders being fined for having players practice who were on the 6 game IR and for free agents practicing with signed players. Are they still investigating the Rider housing allegations? Is there a potential for more fines?

I've said it before, the TV deal with TSN is the biggest part of league revenue. There is no way that TSN does that deal if the ratings are driven only by Saskatchewan. I've never seen a breakdown by region but the games must get a decent draw in Ontario and to a lesser extent Alberta and BC. It makes no sense for TSN to do it otherwise.

As Rich said, the TSN deal is the huge league economic driver. Pretty sure TSN can see the ratings by market and am pretty sure that if they didn't get numbers in BC, Alberta and Ontario (especially), the deal wouldn't be as large or exist at all.

BC has Montreal's first this year too. That's going to be a good team for awhile.
