  1. We used to have such good special teams. Now we consistently take penalties on returns and no yards on coverage. Just kills. Gotta get it straightened out.
  2. The clock literally hit the ground with 1 on the clock. Maybe it started late but have they ever compared it to literally every other play? The clock doesn't just drop on snap.
  3. Never seen a clock review like that, ever, right? Either way Collaros blew it but that is insane.
  4. I think most of the new guys are struggling more than most of the old guys. Ya Thomas shouldn't get as many snaps, BA is definitely slow, etc but most of the new guys just flat out suck. Kick returner and receiver already are sore spots.
  5. Play calling still just seems baffling to me. Frustrating loss. Goal to go thought they would get it.
  6. Collaros just cannot deal with pressure at this stage and with the current OL it's frequently going to happen.
  7. Davis Sanchez talking about his bets is...something.
  8. Need the TD here but in an awkward time spot. Ideally leave them not much on the clock
  9. Very short overlap, but also feel like the more impact Buck has had on the offense that more hit and miss its become. Obviously not all on him as the personnel has changed (and fallen off) too but it feels like we have no intermediate pass game.
  10. I still think LaPo, for all his many faults, did a much better job with Collaros than Buck has. LaPo's conservative nature seemed to cancel out Colllaros' ultra-aggressive mentality.
  11. Whole offense just out of sync still. It's all or nothing on passing plays, more often than not nothing since we can't protect
  12. Brutal game. Defense actually did pretty well given the holes they were put in. There is no overcoming a terrible game like this by Collaros, or any QB. Think we need to do a better job of getting the ball to our playmakers on short plays when Collaros struggles like this. Maas ensures his speed receivers are getting touches. Ugly first game but we will see where it goes. Noel Thorpe is a really good DC and got us again.
  13. I actually think more "community owned" teams would be beneficial for the CFL. Private ownership has its own issues, as we have seen terrible owners and also complete lack of good candidates in some cases.
  14. This is good work by Osh. Special teams were a problem this year. Hopefully Miller can straighten out coverages better. I appreciate that they had a succession plan in place for Younger. I didn't want to lose him, but I respect the heck out of Richie Hall too. We don't have the Cup rings if his defense doesn't step up. Honestly feel like he was consistently underappreciated. Two new coordinators will definitely bring a different vibe next year even if both were with the team for a while.
  15. I feel like many here just too heavily discounted Montreal's passing offense. Even with Fajardo they have tons of useful receivers and use them to their strengths. Mack, Philpot and Snead are really good.
  16. Bringing back Walters and the rest of the management group is huge. We will see if Buck ends up in Sask but that would be a big position to fill. There are not a lot of quality OCs in the league currently.
  17. Not telling anyone how to deal with this loss. Totally up to you. Just sharing how I've approached it now.
  18. This won't be popular but I think LaPo's extreme conservative nature helped balance Zach's strong aggressive nature. He is looking for home run balls constantly at this point.
  19. I went basically my whole life without seeing the Bombers win a Grey Cup until 2019, and my kids have only seen the Bombers win or play in them. There will be change and this is likely the end of an era. But I'm going to take a second and just reflect on the amazing run that this team had. I am so appreciative to pretty much everyone involved in the organization. Management, coaches, players...they've put so much into it. Winning Grey Cups is just difficult.
  20. We are all angry and hurting but I gotta speak up on this one. The Bombers have been consistently great for the past three seasons and very good before that. Obviously blew it twice in the Cup games but overall they have been one of the best teams in the league consistently.
  21. Would happily move on from Zach as he was in my opinion the big issue with the offense. I definitely don't see it happening though. In general I thought the roster deserved a chance to run it back this year. They got the chance and couldn't get it done. I expect we will see lots of turnover now for next year.
  22. Defense couldn't make the play needed but honestly the offense had the same terrible problems that they did all year. Collaros is really starting to struggle. Can't move the ball consistently. If he plays decent today they win.
  23. The Jets are so obviously poorly run compared to the Bombers. They have won absolutely nothing yet barely make changes. I'm not even asking for a Stanley Cup parade, they never look like they'll make significant improvement as a fringe playoff team. They are a treadmill team and I think unfortunately the attendance reflects that.
  24. Can't believe Hamilton managed to screw that up with 4 seconds on the clock. Lawrence couldn't wait just one second more. Terrible.
  25. What a win. Thought we lost about five different times. Not even sure how we did it. But I will absolutely take it.
