  1. Yeah there's a certain level of basic that every broadcast needs. I dont mind that. What gets on my nerves is when describing a play, he will get things blatantly wrong. Like talking about a guy who has nothing to do with the play as if he made the play. Or describing what happened during a play and it not being the case. There was a frustrating example during the Thursday night game that I can't recall right now. But I started laughing and my wife asked why and I told her it was the announcer being real bad at describing what happened. Even if he's talking during the replay and the replay proves he's incorrect about whatever, he doesn't correct himself often enough, and just keeps pretending like he is right.
  2. I missed the part about it being a tip of the hat to the back to back GCs. That at least makes it make sense.
  3. And not to brag, but I did get 55 points total last week!! Soooo...
  4. I usually don't pick a defence and just use all the money on players.
  5. As far as I'm aware, the home team always gets to decide what jerseys to wear. This screams as a cash grab attempt.
  6. It's just lazy and over done if you ask me. And like others have said, the seats are filled with blue jerseys....if this wasn't about selling more jerseys and making money it would be better to play off that. Blue wave, blue carpet bombing, sea of blue etc etc etc. Why take us back to winter with a thing that doesn't represent the bombers? I'm wearing blue either way.
  7. Ok this IS about the Bombers, but I wasn't sure where else to put it. The Bombers are planning a "whiteout" game for the next home game. Which I hate on multiple levels. But I heard the bombers will be wearing their away jerseys for that game. Is there any truth to this?
  8. Sorry booch, that was not a weak call at all. Glass straight up grabbed the rec with both hands around the waist after he got burnt on a double move. Glass was even laughing about it after the play cause he knew. He didn't. It was double move that glass jumped, then grabbed the rec hips. It wasn't a call that could go both ways either. It was literally the definition of PI.
  9. Oh I know. I've been questioning the Thompson move since preseason. He's just a step too slow. Maybe Rene have the speed, but I'd still prefer a vet.
  10. I know. but he's a straight up rookie. He'll get picked on. I'd prefer Hallet or another vet DB.
  11. Taylor reporting Jeffcoat is practicing!! Love this!!! Rene is also practicing. Not big on him playing safety but it's a good that he's able to practice more.
  12. the manner in which they won is absolutely HUGE. Especially for the young kids in the crowd. They don't quite understand the ins and outs of football...but they absolutely understand TDs! BC hit a grand slam in basically every possible way last week.
  13. I think that was more due to it being unnecessary and not a hit to the head....if I'm getting that explanation right. Schoen I could see...but I don't think the Collaros hit was illegal, just unfortunate. It should be illegal....any hit on any player where the head is the 1st point of contact should be a penalty. hhhmmmm maybe I'm wrong https://cfldb.ca/rulebook/fouls-and-penalties/major-fouls/ according to artcle 4 - F&G. I think it's the words "vulnerable position" that makes both of the hits mentioned legal. Using the helmet as the initial or primary point of contact to butt, ram, spear, or deliver a blow to an opponent who is in a vulnerable position, including but not limited to, a passer, a receiver in the act of catching a pass, a ball carrier in the grasp of another tackler or a ball carrier on the playing surface not attempting to advance, NOTE: The expanded definitions of butt, ram and spear are: Butt: When a player suddenly and quickly moves their head to strike an opponent with their helmet or face mask. Ram: When a player who is in motion and on their feet uses their helmet as the primary point of contact to deliver a blow to an opponent. If the facemask is the initial point of contact on the opponent, it shall not be a penalty under this rule. Spear: When a player uses the top of their helmet as the primary point of contact to deliver a blow to an opponent. Delivering a blow to an opponent in the neck or head,
  14. He did take a good hit on that messed up field goal attempt.
  15. MTL trades a 6th round draft pick to the L'ks for RB Fletcher. This could be absolutely huge for the ALs. I thought Fletcher was great last year in his few opportunities.
  16. Zebra mussels are obviously a pain in the ass....but the water around the matlock/wpg beach area is a lot cleaner these days lol
  17. I liked the panel this week. Thought it was well done. And I've been a pretty critical of them in the past. But they didn't do any of the dumb tacky **** this week. Suitor is still hands down the worst. At times I had to wonder what game he was watching. I'm not a big fan of Neilson either but at least he is still growing into the job. Suitor has no excuses for being as bad as he is. It's amazing TSN still has him doing games.
  18. I thought Brady looked hesitant on hitting the line stong. Lots of dancing in the back field. Really really hope Johnny gets the start next week. And yeah I don't know why they decided to not get Demski involved more.
  19. I think that's part of it, but I think that's also Hall's MO....keep everything in front of you and let the pressure create opportunities. Problem is, when you don't get pressure....or the O beats the pressure you better have some play makers in the secondary.
  20. I dont understand how Thompson beat out Hallet for the starting gig.
  21. After watching the pre season games this was my biggest concern. Thompson is late to the play more than not. Alexander and Jeffcoat can't get healthy fast enough.
  22. It's not a penalty in the CFL. When the qb is scrambling he is a RB...unless he slides feet first. Because Collaros didn't slide he was a running back and there is no helmet to helmet penalties in the CFL unless the guy being tackled is defenseless.
