I think the decision to kick the FG at the end is based on percentages. Castillo is like 89% on FGs and almost 100% outside the 50. You take the high chance of scoring vs the 4% chance that gets returned. Normally a missed FG is stopped and ends up being the same as a punt anyways. Lots of factors go into that decision. Maybe we punt and it’s shanked out of bounds, we kick into the end zone for a point going up by 8 (still only a one score game) and they get the ball or it gets blocked. If we lost yesterday because of that missed FG that wouldn’t have been the only reason. We had chances earlier to kick a FG and didn’t losing out on points.

Everyone seems to forget we started 2-6 last year and had a lot of the same issues we are having now. I’m not overly concerned yet. Defence, special teams, punting, kick coverage etc seems to be improving each game. Offence has its bright moments and then complete head scratchers. Coaching (mostly on offence) seems to still be our biggest concern. But I’d rather them struggle now then in late Sept and October when games mean more. We are 5-4 with the season series over BC. Riders are due for their mid season slump pretty soon. Calgary is beatable. Get some NFL cuts, make some changes on play calling, get a few injured guys back and they will be fine.

Not to hate on Demski as he’s been our most solid receiver this year. But 5/5 for 67 isn’t earth shattering lol. Add in his 30 on the ground and it’s a decent night. But man are we missing a deep threat. Or a QB who can hit a deep ball. I feel Demski is great at the short routs and getting YAC but too small for the jump balls.

I was just about to say I wonder what the excuses will be for not selling out. It’s a Saturday night like they all asked for.

He had 48 tackles and was on pace for over 80 and 2 sacks prior to injury. That would have put him as his second best year with the Bombers. He is also fully recovered and has been for months. I see and talk to him pretty regularly. Not sure why so many people have a hate on for him lol. Dude has a ton of heart and grit which goes a long way in the locker room.

It very much is a priority for him. He and the Pejovic brothers partnered up and moved their office just outside the city on Henderson. But it’s a job he can do from anywhere. And with the short CFL season he can work from the road and see clients when he’s back in town.

Good for Adam. Gets a few more CFL dollars and maybe gets a few more hits on the field. Sucks the Bombers couldn’t work out a deal but that’s the business of football. Thanks for the great years Biggie.
