Yeah that comment thread was a good read. Nice to see people who otherwise felt no reason to watch the cfl tune in for a lefevour willy rematch. Must have been sweet after all these years

Ti Cats D post game interviews:

Rise and shine MBB, it's game day

From that same article:
CLEANING UPTHE Bombers are improving in one subtle category heading into Week 6 and now they are ranked No. 1 in the CFL for taking the fewest penalties.
With just eight and five infractions against in the last two weeks, Winnipeg now average's a league-best 9.4 penalties against per game.
The Cats are ninth and last at 13.8 per game.
Awesome.

Yes, let's go with CJ Gable

I had to stay in Regina when a family member was staying in the hospital there. Sadly I must say that compared to Portage, parts of Kenaston, and basically all of St James, Regina's roads might as well be paved with gold. The strange casino in a series of traincars was something else... and jeez, the 'Rider Pride' splattered everywhere... like vomit in the bathroom at a St Patrick's Day social, you couldn't touch a door handle without bumping or stepping into something green. Burger Baron was the highlight of the visit since my motel didn't have a pool.

one 50 yard kick doesn't qualify as consistently.... a little premature for this conversation...
A 51 and a 49 anyways, but I also hope we're getting ahead of ourselves.

Grigsby through the first 3 games
Week 1 - 139 yards
Week 2 - 112 yards
Week 3 - 59 yards
He's trending downward and this is a guy that was supposed to be needing the early games to shake the rust off. His week 4 numbers against Edmonton are back up to exactly 100 but nearly a third of those came on one play against prevent defense to end a half.
He's not that good. He's not bad, but Cotton was advertised as better and I for one would like to see.
Pretty strange post for a guy who usually calls out other posters for selective stats...
Willy
Week 1 - 308 yds (70%)
Week 2 - 307 yds (64%)
Week 3 - 256 yds (63%)
Week 4 - 180 yds (52%)
Look! He's trending downwards too... we should try Brohm.
Greaves injury against Ottawa is the main factor in all of this... that and maybe MB is the one who is trending downwards... we'll see this week.
One big difference here is that Cotton actually looked better than Grigsby in the preseason; Brohm did not look better than Willy by any means.

Seeing as he is a Winnipeg boy I won't feel bad for taking Andrew Harris

Wow that was pure ass. The game was mercifully quick, I can't believe I'm home at 11

pre-game late lunch @ Shawarma Khan for me & the mrs.
Delicious, the best shawarma I've had in a while. The hot sauce was choice!
I love the restaurant. Sadly, I have found their offerings at the stadium to be no where near as good.
It's true. While the stadium location still serves up a tasty and filling shwarm, the main store in The Exchange is better by far in my opinion. More TLC I guess; the guys at the stadium have a lot of people to serve.

I worked in Convergys in high school on weekends.
We didn't care anywhere near as much as this guy.
I swear the guy sounded like if he didn't retain the very next caller he was fired. I did some retention at MTS for a couple years and I would never ever have badgered a customer like that, nor would my managers have expected me to.

I've heard a bit of talk from co-workers so far, only one has been willing to follow through their talk with a wager when I offer it up, so I'm eating free tomorrow if the Bombers win tonight.
What do you have to eat if they lose?

It's going to be LOUD. This work-day can't end fast enough.

Great read, if you've got the time. I had never seen footage of this game before... Dunigan had a cannon! Damn those concussions.

The Huffington Post put this online last night. Heavy on the swank, it's high praise for the gourmet restaurants in Winnipeg.

Demond Washington is a tempting 2/2... but I think I'll go with Nic Grigsby
