  1. Thanks for the heads up, you aren't kidding! Very slim pickins but I found 2 suitable seats. Can't wait!
  2. 38 year old me would lose his **** now watching Rancid open! I looooove Out Comes the Wolves, it's hands down front to back my favorite punk album of all time
  3. Brady always comes through and is a good bet, but I'm gunning for that tie-breaker before playoffs start. Might end up costing me but hey, we're gambling with the houses money so I'm okay living a little dangerously
  4. Well Gordo we could always split it 50/50 haha Just kidding, let's do this! Alexander Hollins. I have little faith CGY can keep their O on the field. BC should have plenty of chances to score and the way they throw deep often...
  5. I don't know that he's being targeted, and he's so damn elusive and shifty that given a little space they can target him all they want, they aren't getting a clean hit... It's those bang-bang catch-hit plays where a defender tees off on him immediately after the catch that are a little too frequent and adding up. He's an absolute warrior for hanging on so often and getting those yards we need when we need them. It's the cost of doing business, I don't know if he can protect himself better while still making the plays he does now.
  6. I hope by 'big injury' he just means the type of injury that forces you to miss a few weeks. I bet Schoen has all kinds of 'little injuries' that he plays through judging by the pummeling he takes each week. Rest for Schoen may turn out to be a great thing come playoffs.
  7. Washed down with a watery hot chocolate from a styrofoam cup. The good stuff!
  8. Hall has long been about keeping the play infront of the DBs and getting pressure with the DL. Mix in the occasional telegraphed LB or safety blitz. It has worked very well when our DL was consistently disrupting plays and forcing rushed passes. Now, with inconsistent pressure QBs have time to find receivers in the soft spots making it look like pitch and catch at times (far too often really). I suspect sometimes that the telegraphed blitzes are an attempt to 'establish to pass rush' so to speak, so that when we show blitz but instead are dropping back into coverage the QB is much more likely to spot the blitz and bite, thinking a spot on the field is going to be open? I don't know. Maybe it's just about keeping it simple.
  9. Not sure about the punch, but the spitter was 68 Pier-Olivier Lestage
  10. One of the grossest reasons for a walk of shame back to the locker room
  11. The Friskee Pearl barely lasted 6 months before going up for sale again. Construction in the area all summer cannot have helped business, but those prices for previously frozen fish weren't helping either... I wonder what goes in next.
  12. He was released on Oct5 along with a few others including Agudosi, The PR expands for 30 days following NFL cutdowns and I guess 30 days was up. He did play well for us I thought, still a younger guy that could maybe even improve
  13. Just a lifelong fan. I've been watching CFL football my whole life, all my family are fans, going back to my little Scottish granny screaming at the Bombers through the 8" tube TV in the corner of her kitchen. I didn't care much about it, until as a kid, probably 8 or 9 I got to meet Buzz one on one at a company Christmas party co-sponsored by the Bombers (my Mom worked closely with Kelly, the guy that wore the Buzz suit for many years, so she was able to arrange a visit) and that of all things was enough to spark interest at a young age. I joined the Rods in grade 8 and played in one lone game before breaking my arm and missing the entire season. I would have gone back in grade 9 but discovered a sport more suited to my tall slim frame (fencing), and that was the end of football for me. I'm far from an expert in any aspect of the game. If only my thousand Super Bowl victories in Madden translated to real world practical football experience, I'd be a hall of fame coach by now! I've read virtually every post ever made in the MBB football forum since MBB's inception, and a whole lot of OB before that... I'M ALWAYS HERE... this is where 95% of my football discussion takes place as my friends and coworkers today are casual fans at best (need better friends and coworkers I know)
  14. Stick a fork in em, RedBlacks are having an early turkey-nap
  15. Definitely. I have to imagine reading a defense and calling the right protection is easy to test for and review in the film room, so the coaches (I hope) have an idea of what is happening on any given play. Admittedly I too speculate at a reach because I don't know either way, but maybe that has to do with what's keeping Eli as a backup and not a starter, obviously only the guys inside the locker room know for sure. If we do get our backups some reps down the stretch I really want Eli at C to be one of them. Hard to judge guys in only a handful of starts but if he can blow the roof off, or nevermind that, even just stabilize things, then he should win the spot and there's one storyline put to bed for good. The all around better player should play, of course, and he needs a chance to prove he is the better player.
  16. No... don't want tiffs... koombaya, we're all Bomber fans here, even the chatbots (I kid, I kid) I'm sincerely trying to watch the OL closely, this is what I'm seeing. As a group they spring leaks, and it's coming from all across the line at times, even our star tackles more often than I'm used to. This season and especially the last couple games Collaros has also been holding the ball longer than maybe he should/needs to, and at times runs himself straight into the pressure, that isn't helping anyone look consistently great. Hardrick had it happen to him the other night, ran his man wide by a good 7 or 8 yards and Collaros spun straight into the defender, not even Hardricks fault (I don't think). Not sure how it could be Kolas though, or how a different C would have led to a different result, not to cherry pick... I'm sure you could show me examples where he is the culprit and honestly I'd love to see them (no expectations though, but I would watch) Yes, Kola is measurably undersized compared to other Cs, but that hasn't stopped Chris Walby from praising his play throughout the season. Is it just tire pumping or knowledgeable insight? Who am I to believe? I know I'm not supposed to trust Kola's high PFF score because PFF, I have it on good authority, is trash. What I do know is Brady is off to the races, and he doesn't do it by himself, and an OL wins and loses as a group or so the cliche goes. It hasn't looked pretty but relative to the rest of the league, our Oline has to be counted as one of the best if not the best units right now. Crazy though that there is potential to be even better than we are right now, relative to the rest of the league. I'm all for it. And that's totally fair and I'm all for improvement at every position. As it stands the transition is inevitable, 3 year contract and all. I know he was ranked quite high on the Rimington Trophy watch list and that's a big deal... of course they've been using PFF since 2014 so... that's a neat detail... no matter, Eli looks undeniably good mauling guys in the heavy packages, if that's any indication then the future C of our Oline is promising
  17. Maybe you should start a blog where people can exclusively read your insights without having to wade through all the uninformed fan boy goo goo gaga noises... or as the rest of us call it, fans sharing opinions on a fan forum. (don't actually leave, we all like hearing what you have to say, it's really about how you say it... NOT THAT YOU CARE)
  18. There was this one wrasslin move that we got away with (seen on reddit) https://reddit.com/r/CFL/s/nAGv7bEa3W
