    He used our 4 draft picks to take Mike Morris, Adam Bestard, Peter Quinney, and Thaine Carter. If those names aren't familiar, there's a pretty good reason. They were terrible picks. Some of that is shared with Taman, as he traded some of those 2009 picks. Kelly let Gauthier, Koch, Picard and Goodspeed walk in free agency. I know Goodspeed isn't a NI, but if I don't mention him, Kelly's "I think we can re-sign all four!" doesn't quite make sense. Some of that is shared with Taman, as he could have extended these guys earlier. Kelly claimed he was going to do a better job of hanging on to our draft picks than Taman ever did. As I recall, we were still missing a pick in the 2013 draft from one of Kelly's many traded picks. None of that is shared with Taman. You'd have to do a pretty comprehensive essay to convince me Kelly added anything to this team other than bloated bombast, including the area of NI talent. He mean Kelly added to the mess that Taman created. Anf btw, I know you still feel the anger on Kelly's stupidities... but chill man! watch your blood pressure.

    Chris Williams spent the past season with the Bears. He was cut in early December. Yes. But I believe Hamilton still hold his rights for a year and that will expire at Feb, correct?

    Wild will be back in Bombers uniform once he gave up on NFL. With a considerable cap space its hard to believe that Walters will not throw a big $$$ to get Heenan Dressler will be a nice addition but I rather have a big physical receiver added since we lost the physicality of Watson. E.Jackson can fill that physicality and much more.

    F-Gudino - Moore - E.Jackson - Denmark - Kohlert looks good to me.

    Maybe Walters is trying to extend Watson and he denied it and (1) expressed intentions to be traded close to home or (2) will walk out as FA after this year and sign on any East team. So Walters, instead of losing him for nothing, pull the trade when Taman bit the bait.

    If I'm putting a nameplate on a Bombers jersey, the safe name could be any of this.... Walters, Kyle or GM. ...because judging from what he is doing, he is not going anywhere.

    Every GM in the CFL knows where to go when they have a vet (or an aging vet) player they're willing to let go for draft pick(s).

    One of them must be going down the road, my money is on Getz. That's a crazy payroll for receivers, especially if/when they re-sign Dressler. Agreed. imo someone has to be going out of here. we can't afford to keep everyone. the good ship taman will be under siege for this move. can't say anything bad about Watson but the guy can't stay healthy. Another roll the dice move by the riders this winter. Taman might have given up to the Heenan and Dressler sweepstakes this early.

    One of them must be going down the road, my money is on Getz. That's a crazy payroll for receivers, especially if/when they re-sign Dressler. That would push to $700 (more or less) for 4 receivers.

    Right now our Nat receivers are Kohlert, F-Gudino and Bastien. Brett Carter is a pending FA, wonder if Walters will re-sign him. And what's the latest with Goodrich and our draft pick Alli.

    Pretty sure it's lower than the $225k that Getzlaf is receiving.

    I was hoping they would trade Watson for the rights to Evan Gill. I don't know much about Bastien but getting another high pick on a deep draft pool doesn't hurt either.
