  1. Cotton has a broken arm. Willy is lower body. And he didn't say what was wrong with Adams. Adams could be a lower body injury too.
  2. If we could get a SAM and move Randle on the the corner (weakside or strongside) that would be great. If not for a big $$$, I would say trade for Brackenridge, either him on SAM or switch him and Leggett.
  3. I think Taman and Chamblin are guaranteeing that the Riders will not lose this week.
  4. I'm not ripping Hurl. the guy plays hard but I think we're asking a lot of him & my question was why are we committed to starting a Canadian at MLB when that position is almost always American? I agree with 17 that we don't have enough quality Canadians to start 8. That's probably because the Bombers is paying him big bucks.
  5. I wish we'd have gone after Rene Curran & signed him instead of this assinine "We have to play a Canadian at MLB" mentality. Your MLB sets the tone for the rest of the defense. if he's soft then the rest of the defense is soft. What we have now isn't good enough. If Curran's out there still available we need to bring him in. Pay him & be done with it. Hurl is a total "Mr In-Between", doesn't have the speed to get after the QB effectively and doesn't have the power to make an impact on the ball-carrier, he is the very definition of mediocre. If Rene Curran has any interest to come back to the CFL. He should be signed by any team already. I know he's a baller and teams should make a room for a player like him. Him asking for a ridiculuous $$$ says to me that he has a little to no interest to comes back in the CFL.
  6. Good! i'm taking my girl friend to her first game next week. I don't want to waste money if Brohm's under center. If Willy can't go it's time to give Marve the controls. First impression last. First time I brought my daughter to the game (vs Cgy when Elliott was injured) the Bombers lost and it didn't help to have her interested to the Bombers. Same thing, when I brought my wife on a rainy game when the Als are in town (then in the old arena), the Bombers lost too and same thing she never get interested in the game and the Bombers since then. The rain didn't help either.
  7. I miss Chris Garrett
  8. CFLDaily @CFLDaily Ottawa Redblacks have released RB/KR Jock Sanders.
  9. I'd like to see what Scott can do... I know that technically gives us a thunder/thunder combo... but whatever, even if both guys give a similar skill set it would still help to wear down defenses... can't believe I'll use the Riders as an example... but look at the success they were having with the Messam/Allen combo... I hope to see Scott there too but Thomas has KR skills so I'm guessing that might get him the nod. Messam & Allen is a bigger version of thunder and lightning combo.
  10. Nick Moore. I'm talking more about the RB position. Cotton will be out definitely. So I'm guessing Marshall will be the starter. We carried 2 import RBs since Day 1, so who will be the 2nd RB this Friday? Moore will probably be back this week and I'm hoping Adams is good to go so they can go 4 Imp rec. At this point, I think I'll sit Stoudermire and give back the return assignment to Veltung.
  11. Who do you want to be in for Paris Cotton - Da'rel Scott or Tyler Thomas?
  12. Kirk Penton @PentonKirk #Alouettes have released K/P Sean Whyte, LB Bryn Roy and WR Dobson Collins. #CFL The Bombers should pickup Whyte in a hurry
  13. No firing should happen in the middle of the season that rarely works. In Offense, I'm Walters / O'shea I'll hire an offensive consultant who will be a candidate to be the next OC to start the transition and fire MarcelB at the end of the season. The talents are there the protection schemes and the play calling are biggest issue so far. In Defense, I believe the Rithcie Hall is a good coach. we just need an additional talent here and there... like on the DE and the MLB.
  14. I thought the Bombers have interest with Peters during the free agency too because of his familiarity with Ritchie Hall's D ... but I could be wrong.
  15. I expect Waggonner to have decent amount of snaps on D tomorrow.
  16. Farhan Lalji ✔ @FarhanLaljiTSN Canadian DL missed last season w/ torn ACL RT @jeffzrebiecsun Ravens defensive end Brent Urban has a torn pectoral muscle. 12 week injury. Less competition for Bilukidi
  17. I wonder why. Maybe they dont want to leave their cousins?
  18. Bombers transactions... DL Kashawn Fraser was added to the Active Roster. WR Addison Richards was moved to the IR (1-game).
  19. I think it should be... OUT - JFG (IR) , D.Johnson (PR) IN - Moore, I.Brown. We start 7 Cdns, 8 if Greaves is in for Stanley if the latter is out I think Richards will go to the IR too so someone from IR or PR will go to the 46.
  20. Dont worry I'll post this next week...
  21. Kirk Penton @PentonKirk #Ticats put SB Andy Fantuz and RB C.J. Gable on six game injured, bring back RB Nic Grigsby. #Bombers in Hamilton on Sunday.
  22. The Competition: Defensive Ends "The Competition” is a series that breaks down every position battle leading up to training camp. Below are the defensive ends: Returning Players Chris Canty (6-foot-7, 332 pounds, 11th season) DeAngelo Tyson (6-2, 315, 4th season) Christo Bilukidi (6-5, 320, 4th season) Kapron Lewis-Moore (6-4, 310, 3rd season) Brent Urban (6-7, 295, 2nd season) Veteran Newcomers Zach Thompson (6-5, 265, 1st season) Rookies Brennen Beyer (6-3, 266, undrafted) Projected Starters Canty is the 11-year veteran leader of the group, entering his third season in Baltimore. The Ravens initially cut him this offseason to save salary-cap room, but then re-signed him just a couple weeks later. Canty made it clear at mandatory minicamp that he expects to retain his starting job in 2015, saying, “I’ve been a starter in this league for a decade. I don’t really see that changing.” While Canty expects to remain in the starting lineup, he will have plenty of competition for playing time from young players like Lewis-Moore and Urban. Key Role Players The Ravens are loaded with young talent on the defensive front, and the coaching staff will look for creative ways to get a good mix of players on the field. After suffering season-ending injuries during training camp last year, Urban and Lewis-Moore are now eager to get on the field for their first NFL action. Tyson has established himself as a reliable defender who can stuff the run and provide some pass rush, and he will likely continue in that role. Bilukidi has imposing size as a run stuffer on early downs, but an ankle injury shortened his season last year. Most Anticipated Battle Urban and Lewis-Moore are the players to watch in training camp. Both of them have high ceilings if they can stay healthy. Lewis-Moore is going into his third season and has yet to play a regular-season snap. He tore his ACL in the final game of his college career and then tore his Achilles in training camp last season. Urban suffered a torn ACL at about the same time. They both returned to full strength for the offseason practices and reminded people why coaches were so excited about them. They will challenge Canty for snaps, and the Ravens will find a way to get them involved if they live up to their expectations. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/The-Competition-Defensive-Ends/dc19cbe4-a61a-4d48-8f5c-10d46308de23
  23. Well, in that case I need to change my TSN CFL Fantasy selections..
  24. If I'm Demski, I'll ask the Riders management to be traded to Winnipeg. Even if the Bombers wouldnt go to the Grey Cup it's still would be a very good to story to finish your rookie year with your hometown team.
