Game 82 : @ Airplane Graveyard
Noeller replied to FrostyWinnipeg's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
I honestly feel like, if the Jets win a single playoff game, it'll be a miracle....not sure what happened to this team, but they're a mess. -
Game 81 : @ Rocky Mountain Breakdown

In theory, this looks like a really really good roster (...aside from Comrie...) -
What's interesting about the Savoie trade is that both brothers are committed to NCAA right now, but there's buzz that they might change their minds and play together in Winnipeg, as the Ice have the 1st overall pick and will most certainly be taking Matthew...

So I'm legitimately curious because I had no idea ringette had this problem......why does ringette have so many concussions?

tonight needs to be a statement game for the Jets. Game 81, you can't be having these huge internal issues. Go out there and lay a beating down.... -
Interesting take from Ambrosie.............

Couldn't be happier for that entitled fan base...

SanchezDavis2Verified account @DavisSanchez FollowFollow @DavisSanchez More Sources tell me #Redblacks are so disgruntled because of the way former OC Jamie Elizondo departed. They believe Elizondo had known for sometime he was leaving to #XFL yet didn’t inform the organization. Instead stayed on staff therefore was a part of coaches meetings & planning. Sense is this stems from the teams refusal to allow Elizondo to interview for the Riders HC job a few months back . I reached out to Elizondo today and he didn’t want to comment

Game 80 : @ Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota

Ask the Hawks about that.......Patrick Sharp rotted that team apart almost single handedly a few years ago. -
Game 80 : @ Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota

Someone said something about a locker room issue like someone sleeping with someone else's wife......I'm not saying it's THAT per se, but it wouldn't surprise me one bit if there was a "situation" within the room that's causing a lot of internal strife among the players. This team just looks like they're playing out the string and not a group of 23 (or whatever) playing for one another. There's definitely some kinda cancer in the room....wouldn't surprise me at all. -

I've been hesitant to say if but the Jets are ******* awful right now. They're never getting outta the first round... -
Kyle Walters will be in full hustle mode, best believe that.... #Receivers

Make no mistake, the only reason for the ticket pricing is so that they have exact numbers. I saw a great tweet today that said "ever try to plan a party where you had no idea how many people were coming??" and that's exactly it...
-
I couldn't be happier for that fan base....I hope they absolutely tank this year and are the raging tire fire we all expect them to be.
-
Good idea....all proceeds to charity, and much easier to regulate how many people will be there.

My understanding is that it's a substantial drop, but possible increase in job security. Bell, Corus and Stingray are in constant cost-cutting mode. Harvard is a lot more stable...

Manitoba curling is in a bad way. Maybe our best skip, Matt Dunstone, headed west to skip some gappers. A real shame. The McEwen/Carruthers experiment was a **** show. We'll see what year 2 looks like. I still think the front end is the biggest problem with that team...
-
that was my first thought, and it's a huge step back. I can't imagine the money is even comparable. My only thought is that people are terrified of working for Bell/Corus/Stingray right now because there is ZERO job security. With Harvard Regina, you pretty much have a job for life with "decent" pay....

How does it stay so current????
-
^^ I actually laughed out loud.......he's already selling what that fan base wants to hear.

it's funny to me, because isn't DT from Winnipeg and a pretty big Bombers fan? Riders fans will riot if their PBP guy isn't a "AREN'T THE RIDERS THE GREATEST ORGANIZATION EVER??!!!!!" guy........ Apparently Michael Ball, who co-hosts the morning show on The Wolf (sister station to CKRM) was in the running and wanted it really badly, but they have such consistently high ratings on The Wolf, that management didn't want to take him off that.

So I can't seem to find any actual proof of it yet, but the buzz around the media world is that Derek Taylor from TSN is moving to Regina to take over the Riders PBP gig vacated by Rowdy Rod at CKRM......

Game 77 : Brooklyn's In The House
Noeller replied to FrostyWinnipeg's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
Owners will never go for it, but the league could really use to cut back to like 65-70 games. Would make a huge difference in the overall quality of the game, especially late in the season...
