Yep. For me, it's Craig, Connery and Brosnan....

here's hoping Europe doesn't cancel our vaccine shipments.... as long as we have those, we'll be alright.....eventually.
-
regardless of the sport, whoever's playing Calgary.....

it's ******* scary, no matter how you slice it, and you absolutely do not want any part of it. Stay home unless you absolutely HAVE to be out and avoid contact with as many people as possible. In AB, where we're a giant tire fire, I am really wishing for another "lock down" (meh) until June, when a lot more people are vaccinated. Things could get really really bad over the next two months if they don't do something...

I can't stand recent DC projects, but am hopeful for Black Adam. I'll watch The Rock in pretty much anything (Jesus ****, was that earthquake movie ever ******* terrible tho...) and Brosnan is a quality actor (and the Bond of my generation) so that gives me some hope as well...

there are few games I enjoy more than games where the Jets absolutely throttle the fLames..... kick the ever loving piss outta these assholes.
-
I really wanna see that new Odenkirk "Nobody" flick......but from what I can tell it's only out in theatres, right? Might have to wait a few months for it to hit streamers...

Maybe the CFL, as we know it, just burns to the ground and then one day rises as a Canadian Amateur Football Association, like the very early days. I wouldn't be completely opposed if that happened...

Expansion Draft - Seattle Kraken Edition

there was so little patience shown by Jets fans, it's almost unbelievable....and that's just around here! Never mind HFB, which is basically a lunatic asylum at times... -
in fairness, both those countries are relatively small islands.... it's easier to prevent spread/eliminate the virus....... which is not to take away from the progressive nature of both countries, which did a remarkable job.

the man is a total lunatic.... he says they fought the carbon pricing because Albertans are opposed to it and wanted him to fight against it. Well, you dummy, Albertans are opposed to it because you constantly tell them that it's a bad thing. If we had leadership that explained why carbon pricing is actually GOOD, then maybe they'd get on board....ffs.

Calgary also has a facility built that is being fitted to manufacture vaccines. Should be up and running later this year.

Expansion Draft - Seattle Kraken Edition

Stanley is developing into exactly what I'd hoped. Honestly, half the fun for me was the Jets "fans" crying about what a wasted pick he was and that he couldn't skate and would never develop. I cheered for him based on that alone, and figured he could at least be Hal Gill, if not exactly Chris Pronger. I think he'll end up somewhere in between, which is just fine with me. Love that kid. -
helle's been outstanding this year, but doesn't necessarily have ALL the stats that eastern media will look at when voting for Vezina. No question in my mind though that he's been one of the best, if not THE best, goalie(s) in the league...

I personally think it was a massive waste of provincial money to challenge it, because it's obviously something that needs to be supported. It's not the 1950s.... climate change is an accepted fact of science and carbon pricing is the new normal, the world over. Fighting it makes you seem like a dinosaur...it's laughable...and sadly, that's Alberta in a nutshell.

excellent - thanks for sharing that. As mentioned, tho....doesn't seem super confident.

meant to share this earlier -- really concerning, if it actually happens:
-
As Dave Naylor pointed out this morning -- front office staff already took the 20% cut during the pause, and continue to do so.....
-
not sure about MB, but with variants raging out of control in AB, the Minister of Health (a real ******* moron, but that's neither here nor there...) said the other day that half of all hospitalizations are people under 65, and nearly 80% of ICUs are under 65..... the variants are attacking "younger" populations hard. The 3rd wave that we're seeing develop is going to decimate a "younger" population much worse than we saw with the initial strain...
