  1. Gotta say I'm really impressed with the mood around here today. Agreed that we should have won this game, even with as many back up's as there were. Brown didn't look TERRIBLE all things considered, and had some teachable moments. Not concerned about Liegghio at all. As others have said, we SHOULD pump whoever in the WF....
  2. This was a great learning experience for Leggs about kicking in that shitty dome. Not even a little bit concerned about him.
  3. 100% spot on recap. Reminds me of the game in Cgy at the end of last year vs our back up's. How they celebrated that. It was their GC and so is this one for BC.
  4. VAJ has been awful tonight. If not for the Bombers being frustratingly inconsistent, this game doesn't look like this at all. BC isn't playing well at all... Bombers just look like ass.
  5. Y'all be slackin around here..... 9pm CST at the cozy dome. VAJ vs Brown. Lots of interest in what the Bombers back ups can do tonight. Let's gooooo!
  6. I feel very seen right now......
  7. Ain't nothing wrong with a cold 'Hopper on a warm summer day, and the Trad is a great option pretty much anytime, but I particularly appreciate it during fall/winter...
  8. not to continue to derail this thread (of which I'm very proud).......but some thoughts on the beer of it all: -Brazen is fine. The Haze Bomb is what my wife and I drink at the games. It's great. I've been to the restaurant once and I enjoyed it. It was a little "fancy" for my tastes, IIRC, but it was nice. It was the first place I ever went where they had the one giant, open-concept washroom area, completely gender neutral, and in this age of gender fluidity and inclusivity, I thought that was a really cool idea. -TCB is just more like my kinda place. The pizza is great, I love the big long tables, and of course the beer is excellent. The Lamplighter is my favourite core (I'll always favour Reds/Ambers) but they have several that are really well done. It all comes down to personal preference, but as long as you're drinking something made in Manitoba, with "as local as possible" ingredients, by Manitoba brewmasters......then you're doing it right.
  9. TCB >>>>> Brazen Also, I believe TCB has a big drop down screen for showing games. They've done Jets and Bombers games in the past.

Don't even joke..... I could see it happening.
  11. Ya I don't wanna go too far down a rabbit hole or tell stories outta school, but Farhan is famous in media circles for not following the unwritten "No Cheering In The Press box" rule. During the 04 playoffs between Flames and Nucks he was all but wearing a Nucks jersey up there. It was something. Having said that, I'm certain he's an awesome dude... Just very very biased toward his regional coverage teams.
  12. ehhhhh so many options in Winnipeg for a viewing party at a place that actually serves decent beer. I mean, you've got a partnership with Brazen Hall, for starters, and at TCB, for second..... could not one of them done it? I guess. Cdn Brewhouse, being a big chain, was able to pony up a lot more money for the rights to host it. Still......shame. Would be fun to do one of these at a place with decent beer. I remember watching an away game with a pile of Bombers fans at Barley Bros on Pembina, when that was still a thing. That was a really good time.
  13. Some real teacher humour here!
  14. Looking ahead to the next couple weeks, via Our Man Tait: Asked if he expected to see Ellingson before the playoffs, O’Shea answered in the affirmative and added this on the decision to activate Darby, Jr. from the one-game injured list and move Donald Rutledge, Jr. to the practice roster: “(Rutledge, Jr.) is a good football player. We just had the opportunity to bring in Alden Darby and he’s a very good football player, too, with a ton more experience. Alden’s played a bunch of different positions in different systems. He’s won with us. It was one of those pieces we felt we had to add.”
  15. As Geebrr says, it really doesn't matter who we play...we'll come out and go 1-0 again that week. Having said that...if I had to pick a scenario: BC hosts the West Semi in their comfy cozy dome, and beats Calgary. Then they come to Winnipeg the next week where it's -10 at game time, with a layer of permafrost in the turf, and every single hit hurts 5x as much....
  16. this is mostly true. SF27 likes to say it's "only 5% of Albertans", but the truth is, it's a LOT more than that. Edmonton votes predominantly NDP. Rural AB (outside of Edmonton/Calgary) votes predominantly Conservative, and Calgary is a toss-up. Whoever wins Calgary, wins the province. Calgary is becoming more and more progressive with their politics with each passing year. I'm not saying they'll save the province next spring, but there's at least a chance. While there are a lot of "I'll Always Vote Conservative No Matter What" types, I believe there's a growing number of those who see people like Trump, Pollievre and Smith as "one step too far" and will go to Notley just for a small dose of sanity.
  17. I can tell you right now, I don't.....
  18. What's interesting is, with those comments, Danielle Smith clearly isn't trying to win any new voters. She's blowing the dog whistle for the ones who are already with her. If she plans to win a general election, she needs moderates, and comments like those are only going to scare them away. It's just not good strategy/policy.
